Good Saturday Afternoon to All! It's an overcast 57° on the way to 69° later today.

We had to get out early this morning, our local range had an American Rimfire Association match. I shot my gunsmith-built .22 in the unlimited division and took first place.

you two can keep the snow in your part of the Commonwealth.
I've no need for it anymore.

edit: for 44NINE and 450.

Buckle up Bucky, you don't have to wait until Monday the snow is headed your way now. Just talked with a friend west of me that has a fresh inch of powder and still snowing heavy. It started snowing here about a half hour ago and its heading your way.

Yeah, most of my family lives in WI so we pretty much get what they get two days later.

Flakes are coming down now as I look out the window. Prolly won't add up to much until Monday night. Depending on the weather, I might just take Monday off but we'll see. Have another job interview scheduled for Tues morning but it's a phone/zoom interview so that prolly will still be a go.

So you're all done making three tracks in the snow this season? I'm with you... but I'd need like 3 feet of snow to make a third track.

I can make yellow snow though no matter how shallow or deep it is.

Chili for lunch because it was chilly.
Can't explain the follow up of Toasted Chocolate Almond ice cream after. Other than..... it's ice cream.

Errands are going to get in the way of day drinking. Plus, wifey going to church @ 5:00, so I'd be drinking George Lawrence Thorogood style.

Congrats, Gene. I'll still make you mad from really far away, but let me know when you venture within the .22 effective range

I’mma guessing if Gene can shoot a .22 purdy gud, he can most likely shoot almost anything purdy gud too. 155 howitzer is probably not in his wheelhouse but not willing to find out. Not talking

I can't touch coffee before a match. Even if the competition is later in the day I need to skip the coffee to really compete.

Slower start here, but moving.

Maybe this belongs in the Question for Our Jewish Brothers.

If I'm not Jewish, and a recipe calls for Kosher Salt, is there still an upside to the recipe for my gentile, gentle taste buds?

Absolutely.

The 300-500% larger crystalized texture than table salt and more difficult disolve-ablity are different than table salt. It doesn't melt when put onto wet meat, etc.,etc. Buy the Morton's version in the blue box at any local grocery. You won't regret having it around for anything you cook that needs salt sprinkled on it.

Having said that it is not a substitute for table salt in most recipie or dishes. Question answered?

What are you making?

48 hours worked in 3 days. I'm home, I'm tired, we all are safe! Felt great to stay in my own bed last night, didn't get as much sleep as I wanted but I heard the kids wake up and wanted to get up and see them since i missed them. Happy Sunday y'all

Morning.

Probably going to be 85-88F here today with no breeze but little humidity. Windows open until it gets too hot or humid.

Plan to swim 700-1,000 yards today, then go to a huge international supermarket before watching some XFL, which is better than nothing football-wise.

Also got to dig up and transplant some ground cover in the front of the house, for a few weeks and Round-up the weeds in that bed- before installing mulch, then re-plant the ground cover next weekend.

The particular plant is called "Purple Heart." Its stems and leafs are quasi-succulent, with a small pink flower growing from each leave node."

Also got to cut back all the leaves on my Sago Palm to rid it of scale insect on the leaves and in the soon to be blooming new leafs/branches.

Shouldn't take even n hour with my wife's help...

Yes, answered. Thank you, Robert.
Found a recipe for Crockpot Pulled Pork Tacos, calling for the kosher version.

(additional)
We do have pink Himalayan salt which has larger partials. Would that work the same or similar to the kosher version?

No. It has minerals in it that change the color and flavor. But, if you like it for whatever you are cooking, give it a try.

What you making?
