This thread needed a bump. Anyone have opinions on any club sized cc's? I'm thinking about getting some for a really short smoke. I really liked the partagas chicos, not a club a puritos, but still a small cigar. I can never find the chicos. I was leaning towards the Monte club or the Cohiba club. What say you? They are about a $1 a piece.

Are you talking about the Cigarritos or something else? I've got some 20 packs of the Cigarritos from several different Cuban brands. I think I still have some of the Cohibas, Romeo y Julieta, Hoyo de Monterrey, & H. Upmann. I think that I’ve smoked all of the Partagas’ but I’ll double check.

My favorite small Cuban cigars are the Monti Joyitas or the Party Chicos. I always like the boxes of the chicos better than the small cardboard 5-packs. Don't know why. I think I've got some of the cardboard 5-packs left. Anyway, I can send you some of the Cigarritos if you would like to try them. Just PM if you are interested.

SLR- Serie A: Nice, easy smoke. Starts out very palian then releases that twangy touch of sweetness. No realcomplexity to speak of.

RASCC: First one ever. Unbelievably oily wrapper. Tight fill/packed with tobacco, but draw is fine. Toasty and sweet, but short finish. bought a box a week or two back, figuring I could always trade/sell it if I didn't like 'em. Glad I did!

LOL at wheel

Into the second half oh the edmundo. Starting to get good. Finally some cream and that Cuban twang. First half could have passed for a 5 Vegas gold.

Too young, perhaps.
IMO, full shoulder cut is way too much. They already draw loose and the hotter they get,the less good flavor you get out of them and the Petit Edm.

Love it, think they have great aging potential. Not for everyone though.

Yeah, a bit. I would say I'm not into the whole LE thing but for some reason these sparked an interest. I'll lay them down for a long nap after I have one in the next couple days.

Ratzilla Herf this morning:

HdM des Duex '03- Delicous
QdO Imperiales '09- Very Nice
Fonseca No.1 ABR '09- Mild, sweet, toasted tobacco. Little to no complexity, but still good. Started of well, but lost itself about 1/2 way through and its young age began to show. This is a cigar that I have read has real substance and must age a bit. I think it has potential. I think it will get sweeter.

Smoking a '09 PSP2 tubo. Nice, but not as nice as the '06 ones. I snagged like 5 of those 10 count boxes a few yrs ago. Those were AMAZING smokes.

Smoking my first Trini Coloniales tonight in a 5'er trade with AR.

Great construction, draw, and burn. It's a nice mild smoke that will only get better with age. I may pick up a box and bury them for a few years.

Well, at about $10/stick they are just a little more than a RASS (what are those, $7-$8?). Granted, the RASS is already one of the best regular production CCs right now, so I'd understand someone just sticking with those. But I hear the Extras are quite strong for Cubans, which is what interests me about them.

I've been close to pulling the trigger on those as well. I would be interested in a box split if someone wanted in on it.

BTW, crgcpro, I also love the Coloniales. Recently got 2 boxes to put down for 5 years. Very classy mild-medium cigars, imvho, and burn longer than I'd expect from a pc. With age they get caramel and vanilla notes that are really yummy :)

I expected it to be a 30-45 minute smoke and this one burned for 1:20 before I put it down and still had enough left that I could have made it last another 10 minutes. Very surprising. Mild and sweet which I like sometimes like the Hoyo Des Dieux. It's a nice change up from the Strong smokes that I smoke of the time.

I punch cut it, and with that it was like sucking on a McDonald's supersize straw.

May be too young, I think it was also a little to wet. I don't have a/c in the house -- the room my humi in has been at about 75-80 for the last couple weeks.

Followed the Edmundo with a Juan Lopez PC from 08. Was GREAT from start to finish!

I packed so many boxes last night that I can't remember if I packed any of those for you or not. I know I sent some small CC's that you probably like.
