He's got clearance and doesn't go through customs but I'm not going to go that route anymore.

Only tried the Panatelas, good smoke. Smooth and mellow, but could also be due to the fact that they are '03's. I'll have to try some more out and some that are reg pro.

I thinks so. They are priced quite nicely. I picked up a box of the Spain Exclusive Perlas for $75 USD while vacationing out there and they have been tasting pretty good for box date of Feb '12.

Just had a JL2, wasn't a huge fan. Wasn't a bad cigar by any means it just was a little to mild/bland for me. Was a 2010. Went out 5 times on me though! That was a big negative.

Hands down my favorite is the Monte #2. Even though it wasn't aged all that long (few months) it is still my favorite smoke. I seem to gravitate to the Torpedo style from that point on.

Unless the construction was poor, burn was probably due to RH being too high and the cigars' youth. Give them another couple years and the flavor will come out. Not very complex. Was your ash uniform mostly gray or combined black and gray? Need to smoke these slow- overheating destroys the subtle, crisp flavor. I can see where some would consider JL2 too mild. Just waiting patiently on my '09s. Had one the other day to test them and its getting there, but not yet.

If 65% is too high for these it's possible, but 65% seems to suit most CC's well.

Never had one, want to though. My favorite on the milder side is Hoyo de Monterrey. I've liked pretty much every one I've ever smoked. The Epicure Epecial is my current fave, but I really want to give the DC a try (just need to track some down).

How are the Julietas and Hoyo du Marie? The size is right up my ally, but I have never smoke either one.

My spot didn't have those in stock so I got the Rass. Maybe next time.

I did get some HDM Epicure Especials as well. I love the HDM Hoyo Des Dieux's that I just got in so I figured I would give those a try.
