Hope power is restored soon corey, generator is a very wise decision. Think
Had one hooked up in last home, direct into electrical panel. Flip the switch and power throughout the home.

+1 God bless the linemen that get it working again.

We occasionally lose power for a few hours, in twent+ years once for three days. The long term loss was a PITA and cost about $700, much less than the price of an adequate generator not to mention the storage space and maintenance requirements for a generator.

I should point out we have a gas kitchen stove, fireplace and water heaters for a loss in winter and my truck has a 120V AC outlet that can run the coffee grinder, vital to survival.

Iffn I lived anywhere near hurricane or tornado alley a generator would be high on my list of wants. About the only outage we have had in many years is if someone hits a pole. (knock on wood)

I’ve got a John Deere generator with a 13 hp Honda engine as part of my hurricane/earthquake kit. Agricultural grade beast. I got it 2004 when we got hit by four hurricanes in like six weeks.

Might add a solar generator.

Will it be a Late Show 500 winner?
A Breakfast Bruiser crossing the threshold?
Or, will it meander to noon time?

Tune in to find out.

Vet called... I can take the bandage off Sunday. I'm actually gonna leave the wound area covered so he doesn't lick at it.

Appt for stitches removal on the 12th. By then he should be running around like a crazy ass again. d'oh!

On the dogwalk this morning, I came up with a potential 500 title that amused myself enough to generate a small smile. Then again, funny to me only strikes a chord with 1.8% of the masses.

Got to go cut the lawn.

You better be happy about that.
Last month's power bill was $560 (73 and 72F) and water, including for the lawn is about $170/month unless we stary getting regular rain 2-3 days/week.

8-Track was on, but I was posting elsewhere and missed out on one of us getting to 500?
Anyone want to shoot for it with or without me. I just hate old, tired 500 threads... Brick wall
