Mornin Ya'll... Gloomy Sunday here this morning...

Hey IT guys? is there a program I can download to find a hacker? I have an unknown Admin on my photo and documents files that have been changed to read only on my laptop and I've been working on a timeline of events to file a complaint with our State Police. I can work off my desktop which isn't wifi connected and everything works ok, but to print a doc I have to use a zip drive to the laptop for the printer? I cannot locate this Unknown Admin in my control panel Admin's area thus it has to be a hacker? Is My Guess?

Washed the car, swung down to my parent's house to drop off some brisket. They sent me home with a couple packs of socks they forgot to give out for Christmas.

I had to do some measuring down there. Dad needs me to install a gravel driveway to park campers on. When he bought the house he dug all the river stone out of the landscaping and put it next to the garage to park the camper on. I told him it wouldn't work, he did it anyway. Then he put pavers on top of the river rock because the camper wheels sunk into the river rock. Those cracked as expected. But they were able to get away with it parking their 6klb camper on there. Now they have a 12klb fifth wheel and well... it really don't work now. I asked father in law to borrow a skid loader in the spring so I could dig it all out and cut in a driveway. Had to measure out what he wants so I can figure out how many truckloads of stone I need.

My last IT gig was in 2004 when I worked in the DHS data center in Stafford, VA. One of my specialties was network security. So if you have a hacker and you’re asking if you can download a program to find him then I can assure you won’t. He’ll see you doing that.

That said IIRC you’ve mentioned in the past that you use Windows. If that’s the case I’m willing to bet the admin you’re seeing is you. Many programs that manipulate pictures do so with admin privileges. Since you’re logged in it’s accessing them with your credentials. If it’s you laptop you probably have admin privileges.

Plow just came by. Time to fire up the snowblower and clear out the driveway and entrance/exit from the driveway to the road. If you don't hear from me, call the authorities. The hospital is only 2 blocks away so it's a short trip. Or maybe just let the body be frozen in the snow and find it in the spring.

I'll take rain. You don't have to shovel or snow blow rain.

I'm not near the coast. Higher elevation here in north central MA. Mount Wachusett area (although technically it's a mountain it's more like a steep tall hill). We probably got around 5" so far but when the street plow goes by, that 5" turns into about a foot deep of packed snow at the end of the driveway.

Neighbor kid came out and told me to go inside and he'll do it tomorrow but my son was working so I wanted to clear the driveway so he could get in. Tomorrow the two of them will clean up whatever falls and is plowed overnight.

As a plus, it's good snowball snow. Maybe while the kids are cleaning up, I'll use them as moving targets and try to get in a head shot.

Two sexy NINE!

Mornin Ya'll...

Yes my Laptop has been compromised manipulating my documents and photos?

I've scan disc, defragged the entire computer and then downloaded and installed a malware program. 54 went to quarantine but I still cannot open my photo's nor while using MS Word Docs the program will close and lose the data I am typing to it once I hit save to backup my project notes... SO doing it the hard way. Desktop is offline so doing all my work on it and then transferring to zip drive to open and print info. I save it to laptop from zip to a folder then remove zip. I don't think there is enough time to allow the hacker to access my zip drive?

Leaving out from North Carolina this evening west bound for a noon delivery Friday in Seattle, WA. It’s 2,800+ miles. Assuming my load is ready on time (I’ve never been delayed here) I’ll be on the road by 1830. Staying close to the speed limits and taking mandatory breaks I’ll be there as early as 0300 Friday. Does look like I’ll have to dodge a little snow between Thursday and when arrive Friday. But Washington is well equipped to keep the roads open so I should be fine.

No rain today. Or at least right now. Went out back in the muck to feed and water chickens.

Ate some of that brisket I made. Best one yet. I don't think I'm gonna freeze any of it, just eat a lot of it and give away a lot of it. Gives me an excuse to do another.

Late lunch with one of my old coworkers. Great chat, he’s doing well with both short and mid term planning on a business idea.

Couple firsts during out get together.

Ate Frickles and Burnt Ends.
Didn’t see them on the heart healthy area of the menu.
Probably an Oversight.

Well... considering I drove from CA to FL... then FL to NY and back... then FL to CA and back in the last 2 years, I got some mileage on the 2020 RAM 1500. Just rolled over 44,000.

Also went from Temecula to SF and back a few times with it... and down to Bahia de Los Angeles in MX...

USPS taking my T52s on a tour of Chicagoland. Supposed to be here Friday. Then it said today. Now it says tomorrow but it was just scanned back in to Bedford Park 30m ago. Doubt it.

Did get my new exhaust fans for the garage that were supposed to come tomorrow though, so win some lose some.

Got em installed and enjoying a cigar without having to open the door to ventilate and lose my heat.

There's another box of cigars shipped with the ups/usps combo that always seems like mistakes get made. When it works out, it goes ups to my post office or at least one of the usps distribution centers nearby.

This one says that it was delivered to the post office in palatine, IL. So now I gotta wait for that post office to ship it to the IL distribution center, to the Gary distribution center, then to my post office. That box was supposed to land today. Maybe weds or Thurs.

Thankfully the two LFRs of aged Darklord I shipped to Akron got there unscathed and on time today. I was worried about them, did a beer cigar trade and told the dude to hold on shipping in case of breakage or loss as replacing those bottles would be impossible. One bottle was one of 500, in 2017...

So I get backed into a spot in at the Pilot in Nitro, WV about 00:15 Eastern Time. I look over at the truck on my right and the driver rolls his window down. This can’t be good. He tells me that I have a flat. Says one of my tires slipped a bead. So I get out and sure enough the outer tire on my passenger side tractor drive axle is flat. WTF? It’s a new virgin tire, not a retread. It’s only been on my tractor maybe 2 weeks. I looked over every inch and didn’t see a nail or anything like that. Then I pulled forward about 2 feet and looked again. Still can’t find anything piercing it. Hopefully, when I fuel in the AM I can get it to inflate. If not it’s another stop at a tire shop.
