Just don’t get people’s obsession to park one’s ass in the hammer lane and let miles of cars pass them.

Morning folks. Kinda chilly 42 but no rain until afternoon. The Phoenix Open starts today. We plan going Friday which looks to maybe be the only day with no rain in the forecast.

You missed the comma. Punctuation is important. It's the difference between "Helping your uncle jack off a horse" or "Helping your uncle, Jack, off a horse".

And by 'you people' I mean 'my people'... cigar smokin', beer & whiskey drinkin' asshats.

Easy way is going to you online account & cancel present subscription and will be directed to online Chat. Then ask for better monthly rate. Think

Good Monday morning gents and gentiles.

Rain is on the radar, but I don’t care. I’ve got a secret that I can’t yet share.

But big changes are on the horizon.

May your day be better than mine.

So I had an ulterior motive with my winning the previous 500 and the title for this one.

I left Los Angeles yesterday and I’m presently jetting across west Texas on my way home. But not in a big rig. I turned that in yesterday AM. This cross country trip is in a rental car.

I’ll be starting a new job later this month as a driver but in a different market niche. Better freight rates equals better driver compensation.

Still have one more rabbit to pull out of my hat, but exact timing hasn’t yet been determined.

The last two weeks, the high temps have been in the 35-50 range.
We only had about 8 days in a row with real cold (highs below zero, wind chills in the -20 to 30 range).

Top story in the local news?

Four ice rescues today. One in the bay of Green Bay, the other three on/in Lake Michigan.

Modern technology getting in the way of Darwinism at a cost to the tax payer.

Once again, what EXACTLY are they doing or not doing to YOU?

Simple version. Like one well punctuated sentence.

Even better, let’s give this issue some well deserved attention in its own thread.

Went on to the Sirius XM site to chat... waited a few minutes and nobody ever came into the damn chat... so I closed it.

Then got an e-mail that my subscription was canceled. Well... okay. I guess now I just wait for the offer in the mail.

Why Sirius instead of Spotify?

Get to choose what to listen to was what got me to make the switch. If you use carplay or android auto in the car the full app is available on the car screen. If you want radio-esque song shuffle, it can do that too. Also no ads (yet)

I was an early adopter of XM back in 02-03ish installed it in my 82 Oldsmobile Delta. Much better than radio back then, but IMO Spotify is better now. Had a free trial to Sirius in my Ram I tried it a little bit but didn't miss it when it ran out.

I bought my dad a year of Spotify but he went back to Sirius for the radio experience. Said he doesn't want to pick what to listen to.

think I may have to get subscription radio when I get another car and drive out into the netherworld beyond FM range...

my 15 year old car has a CD player and I've got a couple hundred CDs...they provide enough music choices to resist subscription radio...

I don't think cars come with CD players anymore...do they?

are subscription radios one of the 500 Ways?

Correct, there are not may CD players if any in current vehicles. Rip the CDs into music files and put them on your phone to play in the car. Or if you vehicle will play music files put them on a memory stick, that's what I do with a 32 gig memory stick.

A friend of mine has a 2023 Honda Civic and that's how he plays his music in the car. However, he doesn't really care for it since the app randomly picks songs so there are times he may hear a song two or 3 times in the same day. Apparently the app resets when he turns his engine off so that's why he gets the repeats. Or if you vehicle will play music files put them on a memory stick, that's what I do with a 32 gig memory stick.

As Gene alluded to, CD players in cars have become a thing of the past. I think mebbe 2017 may have been the last year, if not then, then no more than a year or two later. But, I'mma no car expert so mebbe you can still find them. Iffin' you still want to play your CDs, HOnizuka / Homer bought this for his Tesla and said it works fine:
