Lazy day today. Cold and raining all day (100% chance). 59F/50F. Hot tub weather for siure!

Drove down to Coral Gables to visit my niece and son late Thursday night. Spent all day Friday trying to find her a pharmacy that had her ADD medicine(s) in stock. None anywhere to be found or by custom order. Time for plans C and D- she needs to just try switching to something else pharmacies do have in stock as right now. There is a crippling shortage of Vyvanse and Adderall that won't resolve for another couple months.

Son is doing great. He is earning $60/hr. ( not $100/hr. like last summer) this semester as a law clerk for a large firm. Probable post-graduation job offer after this summer. Working his @ss off. He wants to be a litigation/appellate attorney. The Justice/Judge he interned with last semester also wants him back, for a paid job when he graduates in about a year..

Yesterday morning I drove from Coral Gables to Bocca Raton to get the last items my daughter still had leftover at her ex-fiancé's apartment. Went well. In and out in about 1.5 hours or so and he wasn't there.

And, this morning my wife and I are going to buy her a new car. Probably a Honda CR-V Sport or EX-L Either way, we are trying to get her into a hybrid as my new car not only has great pick-up speed, it gets 44-46 on the highway with cruise control up to about 90-95 /mph to pass on the Florida Turnpike. Plenty of power and smooth as hell.

Hope everyone has a great day!

If I were down here on a solo trip I'd make time to meet up but not on family trip time. Sorry guys. I doubt I'll even have a cigar myself this week.

I'm staying 4 miles from that shpo on sand lake road where you're meeting next week.

Not a huge fan of ham n cheese. Ham n cheese buns were always a funeral food when I was a kid and my parents would bring home all the leftovers afterwards. Would eat that in my school lunch for a week straight. I got a Cuban sammich from a brewery a few years ago not realizing what it is, was very disappointed

I do want to find good but not fancy seafood. Haven't found that yet the times we been in Orlando. On the coast there were a few small shops to-go only and it's the best. Chicago has calumet fisheries (or had - burned down) selling catch of the day stuff.

Downside to the hybrid is cost of a replacement battery. Presume they are less expensive up here than in Florida. Two weeks ago someone got their hybrid suv battery exchanged. $3,500.

You're thinking like a man who keeps a car until the wheels fall off. Robert don't care about battery replacement costs... he'll have a new car in 2-3 years. Angel

It’s probably down the road, then take a left (maybe a right) and it is next to that other building. Near the fire hydrant.

This is our 4th time staying here with my parents. First time I had two cigars. One in a hammock by the lake and one in a recliner on the "beach" it was just no smoking in/near buildings. 2nd time it was pretty empty so I had a T52 by the pool after dark and we were the only people in the pool area. 3rd time there were no smoking signs EVERYWHERE. Posted next to all the benches, hammocks, pools, any common outdoor area. I did walk around with a LP black but I tossed it pretty early I dont like to walk and smoke.

I brought a couple short smokes with me but I don't feel like it will be enjoyable if I have to just walk around in the parking lots or go off the property. Now if I could sit on the patio with a cigar, I definitely would.

Checked the menu. Too expensive.

Honestly don't think I'll be doing any restaurants while we're here, they've all gotten to be a week's of groceries for one meal.

The boy did finally decide he wanted to go to Disney Hollywood Studios. Kept saying he only wanted to swim in the pool. $180/ticket and I'm sure there's gonna be fees on top of that. Really didn't budget for this trip, it wasn't our turn to go this year but brother in law started new job couldn't get time off. Had time to budget it but didn't. Don't want to end up with a $3k credit card bill by the time I get home. Especially with the new job and pay cut.

They have to pay for the real estate. It’s been forever since I dined anywhere near Disney. Only thing I really remember is that everything around there is as high as giraffe pussy.

I'm bored. Keep looking outside hoping the rain turns to a drizzle so we can at least go walk around n stuff. But now it's getting dark, so that option is fading fast.

At least we still have all week. It would really blow if this was just a weekend trip.

Yep... puppy dog got no walk today. Been raining lightly all day. Hasn't stopped for a minute. I went to the gym and did hills on the treadmill for an hour.

Dog went out long enough to poop and pee a couple times and ran right back in.

Tomorrow sposta be nice and sunny.

Brother in law is in town with his oldest daughter visiting a college she has no business going to to see if she wants to go there. Got to spend the day losing brain cells listening to him and my father in law... The college bound kid is a really good kid but she is starting the game well behind due to a severe lack of parenting or guidance. I hope she figures it out.

We were all going to have a little picnic at a park nearby that has a giant fountain and a cool playground. Turns out there were 20k other people there for a car show we didn't know about. The cars were awesome but it jammed our plans and we had to adjust on the fly. Most of the crew I was with could easily be classified as "does not deal well with adversity. "

Fun times.

I had an absolute blast at Universal Studios. Wizarding world was fun. There was a roller coaster called dueling dragons or something... musta rode that thing 5 times in a row. Not much of a line...

Mornin' dudes... not raining, but it's 43 degrees. Puppy dog had no walk yesterday. He needs that energy release, poor guy. Prolly let him run around like a crazy dog today. Mellow

Tried to steer the boy to Universal but he insisted it was all roller coasters. Showed him a video, started crying that he saw a roller coaster. Didn't matter what else is there. Hollywood studios has a roller coaster but apparently the star wars stuff overrides his fear of roller coasters.

It's another cold rainy day. Rest of the week isn't looking great either. I'm pretty bummed was looking forward to some warm sunshine.

May check in with new employer this afternoon. If not today then first thing in the AM. Going to depend on how long it takes once I get rolling.
