Sorry, bruddah... that collection is nothing to envy right now. Have you seen the prices for them? Triple what we were paying before 2020. Covid and Ian have devastated Cuba's cigar industry.

I ain't paying those prices. I'll smoke what I got and keep buying the NC's I enjoy.

Same here.

HA! Bring the yard tools, eh?

I walk by the house every day with Tank when we circuit the neighborhood. Some yards are being neglected. JSO is likely short handed and these deputies are probably working a lot of night shift. I don't know them, they don't know me... just figured I'd do some good.

Nobody came out when I did the work. Prolly sleeping.

^I don't get up north much. Too cold. Anxious

Did the 2nd sleep study last night, with the cpap mask. Started with just the nose covered but I guess it wasn't doing the trick (funny... I felt I was sleeping good) and they put the full mask and then I slept like sheit. Tore it off and they put the nose mask back on. Nope... whole lotta hell fkn nope. I damn sure will not sleep with a damn mask on.

Got home and slept for 2 more hours. I sleep better without a damn mask!

Tech said they have a mouthguard that will likely work for me. Whatever.

I remember the sleep study stuff. Mostly slept for chit because all the wires hooked up made me afraid to move.

I do the mask thing and can sleep through the night now. Mostly because Mrs Beach doesn't kick me for snoring anymore

Thanks for the preview of my June appointment. Was exchanging texts with a buddy of mine who was tested three years ago and has been wearing the mask ever since. Said it took him a few days to get use to it and sometimes the seal breaks loose, blowing air into his eyes.

He ignored the issue until his kids took video of him sleeping- his breath stopping, a loud snort, then gasp for air, then back to sleep. His doctor told him if a person has more than 5 episodes per hour, it is bad. He was stopping 17 times per hour.

Says he sleeps better now, has more energy. The downside is the mask needs to be cleaned every morning and that is a pain in the ascot.

The CPAP does take some getting used to it time. I'm still using the nose only, but like when I'm awake, I have trouble keeping my mouth shut. LOL

Was just considering a derby thread. There is a casino only a couple miles away. Was considering a run.

Knowing nothing about the horses should probably deter me.

Mornin Ya'll.... High of 76 and Sunny today... time to pull the Harley's out and have a Great riding weekend... Herfing

I'm starting my paperwork on my retirement from the Inactive Ready Reserves, once I'm through with all that, I'll be getting an additional $427.00 a month on my Military Retirement at 60... Herfing I took out a Military TSP plan while still active and I haven't seen annuity statements or anything in years, last I looked it was somewhere around $19K? and I think I locked it into the G Fund (Gov. Secured)? but not sure... DOH... if I left it in the C Fund Market I might have $0.19 cents coming back with this Biden economy, the Carpenters Pension plan, I got a letter from Geneva IL saying I forfeited my 10+ yrs retirement (Go Union they said)ram27bat asking other former co-workers if/when they retired were they allowed to transfer their TSP to something like Charles Schwab accounts to not be penalized on any withdraws? what a web of BS!!!

20+ years ago I did a Sleep Study immediately follow by an "Awake Study" the whole next day. Awake Study measures drowsiness.

Sixty minutes in in the same cold room (60F) with just a paper medical shirt and shorts, loud tv, folding chai keep me awake, The hour was followed by 10 minutes in bed with a blanket and electrodes- to see if I would fall asleep and how quickly. I quickly fell asleep x9 times they they told me I didn't have to do it usual 10th time.

Neurologist said no apnea, but severe drowsiness caused by type of brain waves due to encephalitis in 2000. Thankfully that has been addressed by medication

Rant mode **ON**

I hate insurance companies. Trying to get the status of my son's insurance claim for his accident 3 weeks ago. They deemed it a total loss but for some reason they had it towed to two different places for assessments. WTF is up with that? Insurance company dragging their feet to close out the claim. Just got off the phone with them and they told me to call back on Monday. The insurance adjuster who is handling the claim will be in the office from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM M-F but on lunch from 1-2 PM, if she doesn't answer leave her a voice mail.

I have no problems with someone working their regular hours and taking lunch and stuff but why is there only one single person at the insurance company that is qualified to deal with the the claim? Do they work on commission and someone else can't handle it while Nichole Nance is out of her office (phone number 855-627-**** extension 15205)?

**** is redacted so she doesn't get a bunch of phone calls from you guys while I try to get in touch with her on Monday.

MAPFE Insurance, a regional insurance company, SUCKS donkey richards! Prolly look into something like Liberty Mutual, Geico, or Progressive for a new insurance plan for him this next time around. Something that has customer service 24/7 that can address issues.

If you want to flick their ears, call the office of the insurance commissioner for Massachusetts. Calls to the commish are like paper cuts. They get to x number of calls for a given time period, they end up auditing the company and the start with Claims. You could be the straw that fractures the camel’s vertebrae.

I too absolutely hate insurance companies in all their forms. Though I feel like the health variety are the worst about trying to squeeze money and/or approval out of. They can all eat a whole bag of d1cks

Had it narrowed down to two. A 2019 Ford F150 2.7 crew cab short bed and the 21 Ridgeline. I did like the Ford better. I felt like it was quieter and more comfortable.

Ford short bed is the same size as the Ridgeline, and the Honda has a trunk in the bed that's about the same volume as the crossbed toolbox I had on my Ram. And surprisingly enough the Ridgeline has a higher payload capacity than the Ford 1700lbs vs 1550. Granted the half ton trucks need to rate payload low to keep the GVWR under 7k and would be fine putting more in but still the Honda has more rated payload. Towing honda's at 5k and the Ford was 7600.

Sales manager was a prick at the Ford dealer. I told every sales guy I've dealt with that I don't buy same day, need to sleep on it. Then they try to get a sale same day I stick to no. This place was no different but sales guy asked "what will it take to get you to buy today" I said match the price on the Ridgeline I'm shopping it against. He said we can probably get a few hundred off but not going to get down to Ridgeline price. Fair enough, I'll take the final price and sleep on it. Then sales mgr comes and asks me "What is the price online?" I told him. Then he says "that's my price. You can buy it today or someone else will" My retort was the truck has been on your lot and website for 58 days. He said no sale and walked away.

Ford had 88k miles and certified used warranty to 100k. Honda had 33k miles and certified used warranty to 100k AND 12mo 12kmi bumper to bumper. So it was cheaper, less miles, more warranty, less tow cap, more payload, and better mileage.

We'll see if I made the right choice, but I've been shopping for quite a while and even before I bought the 3/4 ton Ram, the Ridgeline was a consideration. It's not a body on frame truck, it drives/rides like a minivan but it also has the everyday conveniences of a minivan. Only thing I'm concerned about is the tranny of course. I wanted a 2020+ Ridgeline with the ZF 9 speed because the 6 speeds had issues. Didn't realize until after I got home that it's a 6...

It's a unibody truck, no body on frame. Same as a car/suv/minivan.

It's not going to do truck things as well as a truck, but it will do car things a lot better than a truck while doing 90% of the things I used my real truck for. I can still borrow my dad's 1 ton if I need a big truck.
