Mine is 86F after a bunch of days in the 90's over the last two weeks.
Your parent's must be real cold unless it is heated.
Do you know the temp?

Good Evening all. Hope you are well.

Hand washing dishes is the worst chore ever.

They have a heater. It was warm enough. Nice day today too. 84, no clouds, no wind.

[T]he current Bosh, while not quite as silent, does a fantastic cleaning job.

Our Bosch, which was supposed to be great, does a decent enough job with even filthy dishes, pots and pans. But,
after about four years of running it 7-10x/week, some of the different cycles don't work. When it dies, I will replace it rather than fix it. Wouldn't buy the same model again or one without a significantly better sound rating.

Had a whirlpool dishwasher in the last house. I think it was fired up 4-5 times in 22 years. The last time just to be sure it still worked before we sold... it did.

I don't mind hand washing dishes. Gets them cleaner if you ask me. Wife and I both do it. Neither of us likes to leave dishes in the sink and it's just the 2 of us.

The dishwasher in this house is a frigidaire. Was clogged when we moved in. I cleared it, cleaned it... and disconnected it from the plumbing and unplugged it. Won't use it, so no need...

We bought the Bosh on the recommendation of our local alliance repairman. He was replacing a $480 pump assembly that had a sensor he said would go out in another 6 months but only came with the %480 pump assembly that was soon to be out of warranty. I'll buy another Bosh if this one fails.

We did the same when we re-did the house, but new replacements weren't available anywhere when the dishwasher and then the refrigerator each took a chit 6-10 weeks after covid hit. So, now we got Bosch and Samsung in the mix too. Well, at least it used to look right...

I had no choice but to buy whatever crap they still had in stock at that moment twice- and got stuck with a mid-level sound dampening Bosch dishwasher one time and a piece of crap Samsung refrigerator the second time. Cannot wait until they die or have a serious problem!

Beach weekend cancelled. Woke up with a seriously infected thumb at the cuticle. Soaked it in warm wate/betadine. Squeezed out some puss so it wouldn't throb as much.

Went to walk-in clinic and got an RX for Keflex. Hope it works fast. Even though I am right-handed, I never realized how much I use my left thumb.

93/75F with 34% of rain starting around 3pm and for the rest of the night. Good for the lawn. Sucks for the pool because the extra rain water throws off my pool's salinity.

Not going to do anything much today except, perhaps the vherf tonight for UFC fights if others will be online.

I too am right handed. Didn't realize how often you actually use the other hand (there's a slow pitch softball) until I lopped off half of my left thumb with a table saw. My Dr told me that I would miss not having that part of my thumb.

Me: Yeah, OK doc. I'm right handed. I can still write just fine.
Me after it healed and trying to pick up something off the floor like a dropped coin or untie a tight knot: Damn... I still have most of that thumb but some things would be easier if it could grow a thumb nail again.

Moral of the story, my Dr was right. Second moral of the story, safety guards on power tools are there for a reason.

Debating whether or not I should eat dessert. Wifey said I shouldn't ‘cause we’re having birthday cake tomorrow night.

But man, one of those Nestle drumsticks is calling to me…. Brick wall

Mornin' dudes... coffeed up. Thunderstorms last night, need to check the weather before I venture out with the puppy dog.

I have seriously cut down on sugar and limit my carbs, except from fruits/veggies. Was watching some videos from Dr. Rhonda Patrick (biochemist), she said if you are going to do sweets it is best to do them as dessert after a meal where you've had protein. It softens the glucose spike, thereby softening the insulin spike.

Grocery store run with the missus... she wanted me to make meatballs for her. Got a baker's dozen in the crock pot. Will be ready in 4 hours or so.

She chopped the onions/garlic. Mixed that with 2 lbs ground chuck, 2 eggs, Italian seasoning, Italian bread crumbs, parmesan cheese... mixed well by hand and rolled into good sized balls of deliciousness. Placed in the crock pot with spaghetti sauce.

Morning folks. I never golf on weekends anymore since I retired. Hate waiting around for the weekenders to hit the frickin' ball!

Did the 5 mile forced march, had a cigar while cooling off and then took the Vette out for a romp. The rest of the day will be in da pool or watching the pros golf.

Don't have my own pool... just the 2 in the community and I can't smoke or drink at either of them... so I rarely go. lol

That said, it's a damn fine day to go for a dip.

Went to the driving range this morning but it was closed for a women’s college tournament on the main course. Played the nine hole course twice. Walked it once and played with two balls. Shot a 36 and a 40. Only hit one ball in a sand trap the whole day.

All by 10am your time? That's impressive for an old geezer.
What's your pool's temp temperature?

Yes, it would... we do our best to keep politics OUT of the 500 and over on the politics forum. This is for tom-foolery, jack-assery, and ass-hattery.

Is "500 immigrants every 10 minutes" too political?
