Yep, Fitchburg. My ex-wife graduated nursing school from there.

Westfield is one of the colleges my son is looking at/applied to.

Dudes.

I’d bicth about the snow from last night, still going and the upcoming 3-6 inches Saturday night into Sunday, HOWEVER, just saw a story on the amount, frequency and depth of snow in Lake Tahoe.

Holy Donner Party, Batman!

Spey,

Usually what you guys get back in Sconnie, we get a few days later here in MA. I haven't looked at the forecast until you posted it.

Da ****? AccuWeather web site is calling for 10-15" of wet snow starting Monday night, mostly all day Tues, and tapering off Tues night into Wed morning.

Wally World and grocery stores will probably be busy this weekend for people stocking up on milk and bread and $hit as if it's the end of the world.

Wouldn't rank the movie among the Hall of Fame classics but "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" is a good movie from the 80's when I was a teen.

I'd put the following in the same category - some for just entertainment value some that had underlying social status themes (Breakfast Club, for example).
The Breakfast Club
Better off Dead
Dead Poet's Society
Fast Times at Ridgemont High
Porky's
Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure
The Karate Kid

(stuff like Flashdance and Footloose... puke...)

Couple of big decisions to make today.

Do I take a shower?
Which fast food fish sandwich will win favor with me this afternoon?

Last week was Hardees. Pleasantly surprised. Two sandwiches for $6.33.
Arby's is schlepping a fish sandwich and small fries for $5.28.

What fish sandwich would Drafter go for right about now?Eh?

I heard he was chasing chikens.

If you go with Popeyes ask them if they cook it in Olive Oil and serve it with a side of spinach. Bring a corncob pipe just in case.

Went to the cigar bar. Had 2 beers and 2 smokes.

Now I'm hungry. A fish sammich sounds good, but I just got home and I don't wanna go nowhere.

$9.79 for a Popeyes Fish Sammich. On a fixed income, stayed with Hardee’s x2.

Use to go through the drive through and order the Mc Catholic combo. Still don’t understand why they put cheese on a he fish.

Dominoes drought continues. Lost 7 smokes in a row.

My dog, Madison (a yellow lab & collie mix from the shelter... RIP) would be really nervous when thunderstorms came through. He could predict them about an hour away. Probably a change in barometric pressure that he sensed.

He'd be unsettled, at my heals and follow me around the house and panting until it passed.

I miss having a dog. Great companions. Also miss having a cat. Grew up with both cats and dogs all my life.

^Sounds like you dodged a bullet.

Bully breeds are weird. They're tough as nails, ain't got an ounce of quit in them, fiercely loyal... but get scared of random sheit.

Example: I get a package, open it and put the box on the floor. His hair stands up and he starts barking at the box.
Example: I have a blue, plastic recycling bin where I put all the water bottles/cans by the trash can. He ignores it until I pick it up and go to dump it... then he's afraid of it.

Frankin' weirdo.

Bark, whine etc… Had one greyhound who during intense storms…. Um. Have a loose stool incident.

He’d be home alone from about 8-4 each weekday Morning thunderstorms were unnerving. He was a good boy, as he always crapped on the tile floor.

I’d prefer the whining and barking.

Yeah, Tank's a good boy. I'm not sure why thunder bothers him, but in SoCal it wasn't really an issue. Almost never thunders there. In Florida??? Buckle up, Tanker...

Good Saturday Morning to All! It's a clear 40° on the way to 64° today.

It's not Spring yet, but Sprong Day* was yesterday. You go to bed the day before Sprong Day and the trees are barren of leaves, you get up on Sprong day and all the trees are blooming, dropping pollen pods, or sprouting leaves.

* Sprong is the imaginary sound of all the leaves popping out.

The dog we have now isn’t bothered at all with thunder. Now other dogs, she freaks out

<<<<< This one hated thunder. We bought her a thunder shirt, and that seemed to help. You have to put it on them BEFORE the thunder starts

You could look into a Thunder Shirt for him. Some people we know swear by them. They are a weighted garment designed to reassure and settle dogs down. We got one for Disco. Didn’t work for him, but might work for Tank.
