DRNOS--you and your wife are BOTH right...it is to keep them from sticking, but as a side-effect, they make them crispier! which is a good thing...now get us some of that coffee!

I just made some cakes with my new Jesus Pan. The pan sucks and burns them. Jesus looks nappy headed in the end.

A major NJ radio station (FM 101.5) is doing a pancake breakfast fund raiser at my armory tomorrow.

For the cause, I'm going to eat a stack or two. But my objections for not having waffles were clearly noted in our staff meetings.

(If any CBidders' are going, let me know and I'll introduce myself to you.)

OMG! You guys are the funniest ever!

Wheel--I hope I get to meet you some day! I think I would have a lot of fun listening to you.

Cycle--That's okay to like waffles. It really is. I guess. I'm pretty liberal in my thinking about breakfast foods though. ;^}

I like pancakes best, but mostly from places like Cracker Barrel and Perkins. Bob Evans is okay too, but they put too many blueberries in the blueberry ones. Went to IHOP once, when they got one around here and it was horrible. Never again.
When I have waffles, which is basically never (years ago), it's always at a Waffle House. Only place I ever had good ones. Used to look forward to one or two stops at one when I would take Mom to Florida.

Now I'm going to need a pancake fix soon.
yyyuuummmm-mmmyy

Cheers,
Suzi

potato pancakes rock.

Since I don't like pancakes OR waffles (they make me fat), I'll go with tortillas........whole wheat, with cheese, sour cream, roast pork, cilantro, and chopped chilis.

Hi everyone.
I just discovered a conspiracy of massive propotions.
Kelloggs .the evil genius' who invented the product that is destroying the American family.Yes,the EGGO TOASTER WAFFLE.I remember my dear mom rising early every morning to make us a healthy and nutritious breakfast. Now,with TOASTER WAFFLES these Pseudo-moms can sleep late, toss a frozen waffle in the toaster ,and have time to paint her face put on a suit, and go to work in corporate America. In doing so,she neglects her family, and takes a job from some deserving guy.
Lets take a stand,
"EAT MORE PANCAKES"

Tall stack and sausage consumed.

I wish it was waffles....

But if you're adding potato pancakes into the question, they win hands down.

Wheel, thanks for the help. I had real homemade waffles yesterday morning. Yes that is right. Princess Hay suggested we have homemade waffles. So we hopped in the car and went straight to the "WaffleHouse".
Man they are good.

I believe you were experiencing WITHDRAWAL.As with any serious addiction it is a bad idea to go cold turkey.I suggest to try weanning your self off those waffles by working in a few TWINKIES,or DING DONGS.After a few months you will be waffle free and hopoefully resume a waffle free productive life.

I have to say I was not impressed with the waffles at the waffle house. They tasted ok but they were really thin. Not on my top 10 breakfast spots.

So maybe I should just make them myself. Not.

What????

There is a long standing segrergation law against co-mingling of Pancakes and genetically inferior waffles.
Some things should remain pure, especially the beloved PANCAKE.

NO WAFFLE CAKES..
