Did the dog walk, sat around for a couple hours while my wife's friend had a storm door installed on her house. She's out of town and wife has her keys. Lives in our neighborhood.

Went to the gym, ate some food... still need to shower and shave and it's after 5pm already. *cough* dirtbag *cough*

Yeah, I rarely get a shower before noon. lol

It's too hot and humid here and I prefer to get all the activities I have to do for the day finished before I wash my bits n pieces.

They are predicting rain here in most of MA and the New England area for most of the weekend. Sounds like a good weekend to stay inside and knock off some of the things on my to do list.

First thing in the morning is to get a batch of chili going in the crock pot. Well... not the actual first thing in the morning as there are bodily functions that need to be tended to first.

But early in the morning I'll brown some ground beef and stew meat for the meat portion of the chili. Sweat some onion, garlic, and toss that into the crock pot. Add some crushed tomatoes and tomato sauce. Add a can of Rotell diced tomatoes with jalapenos. As for chili seasonings that would be chili powder, paprika, coriander, cumin, coca powder, basil, oregano, salt and pepper at different amounts then let slow cooker it do it's job. I sample it along the way. Usually add a pinch or two of sugar too.

A couple hours close to the end I'll add some black beans and kidney beans. Some folks out there would scold me for adding beans but I still add use both meat and beans in my chili. It works for me and those that have had like it too so I have no urge to change the basics (although I do tweak it now and again to make it more spicy... I like food that makes your head sweat).

I haven't made a nice and spicy curry dish in a few months. I love me some spicy curry. I'll have to add that to the "Gotta Do" list. I really wish we had a Thai place in town.

Littlest one's birthday party tomorrow. Yay, I love cold pizza and juice boxes.

The smiles and laughter make it all worthwhile, though. She's a great kid and I know she will love it.

Pretty overcast this morning here in north central MA. Rain is scheduled to come late afternoon. It's still a good day rain or no rain.

I predict that I'll be doing domestic stuff around the house, weekend cleaning, pay some bills and stuff. Prollly dig out an old laptop and an old desktop to see if they are still alive. I think they are running Windows 7 or Windows XP. Might fire up an old Mac that I put Linux on many months ago. I know, I know... you are asking why? Answer is just because.

I also predict a nap at sometime.

Hope everyone has a happy, healthy and safe weekend.

Welcome to the first "official" day of Fall folks. Autumn officially began at 2:50 a.m. EDT on Saturday (Sept. 23).

No rain yet but as I look at the sky horizon it'll prolly start here in and hour or so. Hopefully the wet weather we've had this spring, summer, and now fall will lead to a winter without blizzards and stuff. I'm fine with 3 inches here, 6 inches there but the 2 or 3 feet stuff in a day or two pretty much sucks.

IT'S ALIVE!

Older Acer laptop is still alive. Posting from it. Have another Acer laptop which seems to be alive but have to recharge the battery.

RIP on the Chomebook that I snagged on ebay last year for me to play with the screen is cracked... probably during the move so it's destiny is in the trash.

Gonna buy another one. Not that I need one but would like to have one to play around with ChromeOS, Chrome books are petty cheap on e-bay. Prolly a glut of them from the whole work and school at home during the pandemic.

You never know. When the apocalypse happens... the living dead will attack Windows and Mac OS first. ChomeOS and Linux will still be alive.

(I should probably get a AM/FM shortwave radio too just in case if the end of the world happens).

I don't want to think about fall because that means winter is around the corner. I'm feeling a climate anxiety attack coming on.

85F/67F today with a dry breeze.
A/C isn't running all the time because humidity is also low (37%). Power bill was down 10% this month. Tonight will be the first night of the season without a/c and with windows open! Herfing

Changed the mower blade, air filter and engine oil. The bolt holding the blade on was, in fact, lefty loosey like normal.

Will have the old blade sharpened and use it when this one gets dull.

Cutting tree chunks and splitting moving and stacking logs was most of my day. Got about 1/3rd done. Mowed the lawn and took a shower then hit the couch around 5. I'm beat.

Found out one branch went through the roof of the chicken coop. Fairly small, but hit the roof right at a seam in the plywood. So that's tomorrow's project. Gonna do a steel roof this time. 3rd roof I've put on there now.

Thanks, the party was a hit. All the kids had a great time, my daughter couldn't wipe the grin off her face if she tried, and I finally had a few minutes to reconnect with a good friend I don't get to see often enough while the kids were all doing their thing. Wifey did a great job planning it and I did a great job finding my credit card to pay for it.

Good Sunday Morning to All! It's 66° on the way to 88° today.

The match in Douglas, Georgia yesterday was a good one. My wife shot her first perfect score, a 2500, and won a trophy for the top first target. That target gets sent to the ARA for validation and they return it framed. After the first round, she did OK, not great. I was in the middle of the pack the entire match. We still had a great time and after a three-hour drive home, slept like logs.

A belated Happy Birthday! to Stogie's little girl.
