How did they do the study, I was mailed a ring that worked with a phone app. Wore the ring for two nights, the app recorded the results and uploaded them to the doc, then returned the ring by UPS.
Tricare Doc did a referral to an outside sleep study center. They called me right away and scheduled it for last night.
Told me to bring PJ's and my own pillow (for comfort, or I could use theirs). Showed up at 8:30pm, tech brought me to a room, put all kinds of sensors on my legs, chest, face, head, and then stuck one of those dual tube thingies in my nose. I was thinking to myself... man, I ain't gonna sleep a wink.
Started reading the kindle and about 20 minutes later I was out. He woke me up one time during the night when I rolled over and undid one of the sensors. Next thing I knew it was 0500 and it was over.
My fitbit inspire 3 shows that my O2 levels do change a bit while I am sleeping, but they stay within the range set (at least on the fitbit). A few times a night it does get pretty damn close to the "high" range. High meaning a drastic change in O2 level, which would indicate sleep apnea.
Meh... oh well.
