You do have a great looking record, BUT. Out of your 12 wins, only 4 teams the Packers beat have winning records. When the packers have played teams that now have winning records, they have a 3-3 record.

You play the Jets next week, another game you should win. EASY schedule, but congratulations! If they win 13-3 is pretty damn good.

may have been an easy schedule....but we can not control that....can't help it if the League makes us play easy teams like San Fransisco in Candlestick. We'll see in the playoffs.

Mag,

If you really wish to analyze the schedule that closely, don't forget the Packers have the 3rd most injuries in the NFL, behind Chicago and Seattle. The Pack went to New England and destroyed the world champions while missing 7 starters, 5 on defense. We are getting healthy again for the playoffs.

Easy schedule? Perhaps, but when you think about how many injured players there are/have been you can really appreciate the record. Go Pack!

The Raiders have had injuries also. We have not had Kirby, Woodson, Our other corner who's name escapes me now and others. In your Div. the other three teams have less wins than in ANY other Div., and its not even close to the next Div.
Check out the AFC west div. A GREAT Div, that has not ANY easy games. The packers would have colapsed in this div. This Div has more wins than any other Div.
I bet you dont make it past the first GOOD team you face in the playoffs. We WILL see.

PS: I dont count the 49er's as one of the GOOD teams despite their record. That div is the next worse. Thats why they won it so easy.

Ducati, I didnt notice your bet post earlier. You must have read My mind! But I say we make it more interesting. Why not bet on which team goes farther in the playoffs. If they both go to the Super Bowl then what could possibly be a better tie breaker!!!
I posted a bet on my raiders thread. But that was for who would be MVP. You never know, some jack asses may not pick either. Lets bet on the teams like you say, bot BOTH teams. I'm Game !!

Hey Ducati......don't waste those cigars...bet the Lone Wolfs just in case the Pack let you down!LOL The mystery cigar was a Perdomo fresh rolled torp. Excellent everyday cigar! John

I hate to say it but I think Gannon gets the MVP...he's had a tremendous season....although having Brown, Rice and Porter to throw too certainly helped. Favre is a MVP candidate just for making his team better on his own. Gannon has a much better supporting cast! Go Bears

Todog, think about it....how afraid of the Packers would you be without Breet Favre.??...We know as soon as Brett retires..our team is done. As far as the most valuable player to a team, is there any question?. The Packers are a sub-.500 team without #4.

But hey....Go Tampa Bay...lol...0-17 after the first quarter....Welcome to Green Bay in January..Favre is 34-0 in games below 40 degrees...Tampa has never won below 40 degrees.

OK Then. BUT, you arent going to decide on which smokes we bet on! I'll pick what I want and you pick what you want! Of course we will have to agree on them.
If you have confidence you should be willing to buy me the winning stogie if you dont happen to stock it in your humi.

Ducati, just curious, how old are you? I'm not trying to be funny here or rude, but it feels like I'm dealing with a kid. If you want to bet, fine, but why dont you post a freakin paragraph for a change, instead of the lame 1 liners you do?
Now to business. If I win I'll take a 5-pack of Padron Annaversarios Cameroons. Any size will do. Do you agree with betting on which team goes the farthest in the playoffs? Tie breaker of course the Superbowl.

Ducati, That's what I meant about Favre...he is the MVP of the Pack and possibly of the league...but the voters will look at Gannon's stats and the fact that the Raiders are winning. In the end, I don't care about stats, just the win. Marino had great stats but never won a thing! This is why I would take Favre over Gannon. If Favre had Brown, Rice and Porter...he would go undefeated no matter what the schedule! Hell, Favre would have made the Bears winners! John

Mag, don't jump all over me now, because I wasn't dissing Gannon. He's had a tremendous year and is the main reason for a successful Raider season. But he hasn't "won" anything yet and I would bet that he would trade in all of these pasing records that he is breaking for Brett Favre's Super Bowl ring!

On another note, I've never met Ducati but unfortunately lost a few cigars to him in a Bear-Packer wager. Suffice to say, I would meet up with him for a beer and a cigar in a Packer minute...even in Wisconsin!LOL

Todog, I dont mind you entering the conversation. As a matter of fact, I like your posts. You seem to be using your head and not your heart in the discussion.
Ducati is using his heart and not his head. That isnt a rip Ducati, I do it myself at times, more than I like. But in this case I'm not. I have had a lot of fueds with guys on NFL threads. I have gotten into more reasearch than ever before. The reason is that "Highlites" dont tell it all. I dont have a dish, so to know what the hell I'm talking about. I research it. Last thing I want to do is make a fool of myself, altough Ive done that too.
You are correct about Gannon. I'm sure the "ring" is the Crown Jewel he really wants. He'd probably hand over all the records for one if he could.

Todog, you are always welcome in the great white north. Come on up in the fall and we can discuss football on the deck with a nice Padron.

Mag,
You are of course welcome also. I think you could appreciate why we take football so seriously here. It is the only thing we have. This certainly is not sunny California. But if you do stop by, please don't insult me and later deny it by saying you are not "rippping on me".

Unfortunately, we do not have great cigars here, but we do have very good German beer. I did partake in too much of this German Hacker-Pschorr Weisse Beir last night and for that I apologize, oh.....but what GREAT beer! I would be willing to bet 6 of my prized weisse beirs if they are shippable. It is probably more "typical Wisconsin" than cigars. Let me know what you think, Mag, now i must go take some aspirin.

See ya.

This post started the fued. Nothing Rude, Nothing inaccurate, and even had a complement in it. YOU ARE A CRYBABY!!!!!!!!
Here it is:

"You do have a great looking record, BUT. Out of your 12 wins, only 4 teams the Packers beat have winning records. When the packers have played teams that now have winning records, they have a 3-3 record.

You play the Jets next week, another game you should win. EASY schedule, but congratulations! If they win 13-3 is pretty damn good."

What was wrong with that post? This is football talk, nothing more.

Mag, here goes one for the AFC West...put Packers or the Tampa Bay Bucs in the AFC West and they would be lucky to have a 10-6 record........and that is a strech!!!!!
