It may cost too much, they may have surly counter people, but when you consider the reliability of other countries postal service, thank your lucky stars that we have ours,as inefficient as it is. X

Actually, when you think about it, even if a first class letter took 50 cents (it doesnt), that is still cheap. I mean, someone has to send that to a single location, 2000 miles away, generally in less than a week.

They should just go ahead and make it fifty cents instead of us having to adjust every 6 months to a year.
By the way, what does it mean when they fly the flag at half mast at the post office.......

.....it means their hiring.

It wouldn't make any difference if they raised it to $5.00 instead of $.50 ... they'd figure out a way to F it up and be back looking for more before you could turn around ...

The USPS is among the least efficient and most screwed up organizations on the planet ... If they had even a fraction of the efficiency that UPS and FedEx have, they'd be giving far better service at less cost and turning a profit doing so ...

Anyone with half a brain goes insane trying to work in the system they've got ... so the majority of their everyday help are pretty much the equivilent to chimps and many of them cannot even read or speak English ... how the hell could we even DREAM that they could get the job done right ??? ...

My brother is a letter carrier on a rural route, so watch what you say. I just wish they would print a stamp without the cost on it, one you can buy and use any time without having to buy three cent, four cent or whatever stamps to go along with it. One that would stay first class postage no matter what they raise the rate.

... yeah, but they would have to charge a dollar each for them, so they could make sure they are covered.
