So I tried a Cohiba Black robusto and loved it. Thena few months ago I found I could get them around $3/cigar here on cbid so I bought 125... Maybe I should have tried 25 first. Anyhoo, for the most part they are an excellent cigar but 25% chance the cigar is too tight and won't smoke. I'm keeping them at 65% but thinking of storing them separately at 62 or maybe 58%. I'll let you know how it goes. Have you run into this with this or any other cigars?

Cohiba Black

An oily Connecticut Broadleaf maduro wrapper graces the outside of this chewy, rich, full-flavored stick. A Dominican binder and Dominican long leaves create balanced notes of earth with a touch of spice and an espresso finish. Medium to full-bodied with a bold character, thick smoke and a long-lasting enjoyable finish.

Honestly never had any burn issues with those. Haven’t had one in a while I’ll probably smoke one sometime soon

Remember they keep their stuff at a higher RH than most everyone here does. Anything from an online vendor I recommend letting sit for at least a month.

A maduro? I’d dry box for a couple hours.

I never did try a lower humidity with these but figured them out. Let them sit in 65% humidity for a couple months then if you cut and have a hard draw leave it out or dry box for a day or two and come back it will be good to go with a nice easy draw. Now I just love them.

I’ve had many Blacks and while I like them too I find them to be inconsistent in term of construction. I may have gotten a lucky batch of the Whites but haven’t had a single issue with the 20 or so I got.

I've had good luck with the construction of all the Cohiba Blacks I've smoked except for some having a hard draw but now I've figured that out. When you say white do you mean the Cohiba Connecticut? I haven't had one in a while but I remember them being pretty good. I wouldn't buy either at retail price but for the price we can get them at here they're good.

Yup, Im talking the Connecticut. Retail for that cigar is around $20 give or take which is highway robbery. Its a decent smoke and all, but its not Padron level good.
