They also proclaimed that ALL FLORIDA WRAP AROUND SUNGLASSES FOSSILS WHO BLOCK ISLES BY TALKING SIDE BY SIDE WITH OTHER FOSSILS IN MOTORIZED CARTS WILL BE BANNED from every store they own ..and forced to shop at PUBLIX...Liar

Supposed to be an Aldi moving into my town. They are taking over a vacant section in one of the strip malls that used to hold a Stop & Shop (a regional supermarket chain).

Tractor Supply store took over half of the old Stop & Shop grocery store a few years ago. Aldi is taking over the other half this year. Supposed to be in there and open by the end of the fall. They've been renovating it for the past few months and the fire department was there today to approve some of the renovations. They were probably there inspecting the sprinkler system, fire suppression stuff and other fire department stuff.

Currently the nearest Aldi to me is probably 20 min drive away east but it looks like they are doing some expanding westward here in north central MA. Folks in town are eager for it to open. It'll add another food shopping choice and add some jobs.

ALDI'S is a decent store...
I cherry pick the one I go to...

They have excellent cibatta rolls "signature" brand
And the CLANCY'S white cheddar pop corn is the best CHEESE COATED POPCORN OUT THERE..cheap too!!

I'm not big on their deli meats...they have very limited canned vegetables but their fresh veges and fruits are very good ..eggs are cheap, 12oz. Mixed frozen vegetables are .88 cents!! Half and half is cheap, 12 grain bread is $2.09
A loaf and very good...

There downfall is selling seasonal MERCH, SOME IS VERY GOOD, SOME IS DOWNRIGHT BAD CHINESE
CRAP-OHHH-LAAA...THEIR MEATS ARE ALL PREPACKEGED FROM IOWA? NOT A FAN OF THEIR MEATS.. EXCEPT THEIR FLANK STEAK IS AWESOME...

The KRAUTS are taking over MAN! And everything is ON SALE!

We've got a bunch of ALDI stores around here, and can hardly go anywhere without running into one.
A little while back, maybe a month or two I walked into the one I go too near me and all the HUMAN cashiers were GONE ...ALL CANCELED except for one, replaced with SELF CHECKOUTS. I guess paying $18/hour for HUMAN CASHIERS wasn't working out too good for the bottom line. I blame BIDENOMICS!

Aldis is good. One opened in my area many years ago but was garbage generic junk, they’ve really stepped up the quality of their product. A very similar store chain to them is Lidl.

PS: I hear ya Jonesy, it’s aggravating trying to navigate the isles when some jack@$$ is either oblivious to how multiple carts should fit down the isle like road traffic, or just don’t care. Many people today just think they’re the only ones that matter.

Got one right near the house. I don't go there. WalMart, Costco, Sam's, the Commissary... or Publix. Depends on what I need.

Safeway in Cali. H-E-B in Texas. Publix in Florida.

Never been to an Aldi but have one nearby.


Winn Dixie…..worked there my summer after graduating high school!

JUST LIKE "MEL" IN SCARFACE...the DEA agent under "Frank's" wing...huh huh huh...yea that's a big numba'...and yea throw in a couple tickets to the resurrection too...

400 x 2 million ( low guess) is $800 K
...almost a BILLION....

THOSE KRAUTS MUST HAVE A LOT OF MONEY...

The Albrecht family which owns ALDI and Trader Joe’s are worth $17.9 billion, according to Forbes’ estimates.
Buying 400 stores for $1 billion is chump change.
