how much and what affect, if any, it had on the election?
im not sure
Of course there is and we should try to stop it. It's not wide scale though which has been proven time and time again. Finding a turtle that voted in baton rouge does not prove wide scale fraud yet needs to be addressed. it need not be one or the other.
But if you set up something as a huge issue that time and time again is proven as not true, then continue to propose solutions to the non-existent problem it is fair to question the real intent and agenda of those pushing it. It is also fair to say that is not necessarily the intent and agenda of EVERYONE pushing it.
The courts decided on the effect of the TX laws and were heading towards deciding on the intent. That part is likely dead because control over the prosecutors changed.
I know most in here disagree but I do believe there is an effort to suppress voting by people not inclined to vote for a particular party. Just like I believe district boundaries are drawn to benefit certain parties rather than just laying them out and letting what happens happen. Politics is like water and is insidious. I guess I am a cynic.
I get frustrated with the game though. We all know better on some of the things we say.
