Colin Kaepernick, QB for the soon to lose San Fran 49ers (they play the aptly named Patriots on Sunday), went from riches to rags when his QB skills plummeted after coach Harbaugh left for Michigan.
He tried to regain some of that fame by making a LAZY protest by sitting, then kneeling, during the National Anthem.
What started out as an obvious pouting fit then blossomed into a reluctant following by other lazy protesters. People who think their semi-fame makes them important and despite their millions of dollars felt the best possible way to help their cause was to simply kneel.
You know. Rather than actually get involved.
But here's the best part.
This cause of "oppression" that Kaepernick is "fighting" for isn't even on his own radar.
Because to fight oppression you have to do more than kneel. You have to do more than do nothing.
You have do SOMETHING.
And the first thing you would do?
The VERY FIRST THING you would do if this was an actual cause?
You would vote.
But Kaepernick stayed home last Tuesday.
Or maybe he went out.
It wouldn't have mattered either way.
Because he's not even registered to vote.
He's a POS making millions of dollars as a mediocre player. He's a malcontent who is lazy. And worse than all of that, he is a phony.
