Wow....3 games down and they came back to beat the Yankees. I would have never believed it if I hadn't seen it. Great job boys.

Looks like the Phillies will have a chance to hire Joe Torres as manager.

Congrats to the Boston Red Soxs !

If George fires Joe Torre I really will have no reason to root for the Yanks at all. He seems to be one of the classiest individuals in all of pro sports. The Phils would greatly improve under his quiet professionalism and desire to win! Not his fault he and his team ran up against a bunch of idjuts who didn't know they weren't supposed to come back from a 3-0 deficit and make history while doing so! It's amazing how much team chemistry can come in to play in a short series! {A good pitching staff also helps}

I just like David instead of Goliath. I know that the red sox make a poor David with the size of their pay roll. But, I haven't been able to stomach George since my beloved Reds swept the Yanks in the '77 series.Incidentally one of my fondest memories of baseball was sneaking and listening to the Reds vs. Red Sox series with a little radio when I was supposed to be asleep in bed. I have also been a Red Sox fan since then. What a great World Series!

Somebody please! Was it '75 and '76 or '76, '77 when the Reds went back to back? Almost 40 and slipping fast. lol

The next big question is if the curse still holds.

I was looking forward to a Cards/Yanks series, I remember going to the 1964 one with my dad.

Congrats to the Sox, they did it the old fashioned way....they earned it.
