Order status: Your Gateway order has been placed and is currently being processed. Your estimated arrival date is 10/25/2004.

What the hell is it these days???

I ordered this part for the wifes laptop over a month ago... today they send me an email after 2 phone calls to them and a reply call (digital voice) saying there will be a delay in the order... just a few minutes ago I recieve this email and in the subject line they put... "Gateway Order Confirmation - 1st email"

first email my Arse!!!!!!

to top it off I ordered 2 weeks ago a part for my Table Saw.. a PALS kit (it keeps the blade true as for cutting) anyways I hadn't heard anything in the mail/email etc on this item.. well I was on the phone with this guy when I recieved the gateway email and viewing their website as to where I found their phone number to call... he tells me I will have to call back tomorrow that if I ordered online they must have overlooked the order...

I couldn't help it.. I started LMAO and couldn't stop....

here's a classic example of America... Outsourse to India/Pakistan for Gateway and all because (cheaper labor)someone here in america wants more money and cannot keep the orders straight LMAO!!!!!!!!!

I'm still LMAO as I type... have to to keep the blood pressure down LOL...

and then I read over on the cigars related about these Jackwads who B!tch about CBid customer service???

has been the Best I have seen to date, and I've been a member here since mid 2000....

CBid knows how to do business and Hats Off to the Staff!!!!!

Hey hog,
I'm not defending them, just giving a possible reason for the confusion. Gateway has closed all their retail outlets and declared bankruptcy. Their website and online sales departments are still on operation, but severe cuts were made and their some of their customer service may have been outsourced. So, during the restructuring phase, there may be some miscommunications and delays you would not otherwise experience. Hope that helps some.

hmmmmm wonder if their shipping me 5 of the same item and already only billed me for one over a month ago???

do I
A. ship them back to the company?

B. call the company and have them send someone out to collect them?

C. toss the others on E word and use the collected dividens towards more cigars? LOL

Lessons learned....

hopefully they are only shipping one item and their email system is as screwed up as they are...
