Who won the debate? * 312282 responses

this is an online poll
Pres. Bush 24% Sen. Kerry 76%

i personally think this poll is totally incorrect.

i think w handled himself well and held his own with kerry.

The MSN poll this morning, with 1.2 million participents, showed Bush 35% - Kerry 65%.

The President seemed on the defensive almost all evening IMO. Like a boxer on the ropes. He wasn't knocked out but he sure didn't win.

Another online scientific poll, of the 10,000 people polled:

9,849 for Bush

51 for kerry

100 for Nader

LOL

^Ahhh, you kidder--thought you fell asleep at the keyboard! LOL

I think that you're right on, Rick!
The president was more natural & appeared better informed. In fact, I think that he surprised Kerry once or twice & flustered him a bit.

BTW, when are they going to select moderators who actually listen & can keep a better track of the topic at hand? Charlie & the black woman before him were marginal at best. I especially enjoyed Charlie when he incorrectly repeated several times,"It's a matter of IF not WHEN the terrorists srike again...", when he meant,"WHEN not IF".

OK, so who cares- right? LOL

They both were putting me to sleep! So I didn't watch last nite!

I just hope GWB wins and for some reason Cheney steps down and Guilliani, Rice or McCain is appointed VP, so we can have a shot at 2008 against the wicked witch!

Rick,

Coming from you, that almost sounds like a concession speech. Why the long face?

I think both candidates did pretty well at making their points. I do believe that Bush did an excellent job at pointing out Kerry's record, or the lack of one during this debate. Kerry was unable to defend the fact that he did not bother to show up for senate votes on items that he was either strongly for or against.

I think both did please their supporters though.

How could Bush even tie Kerry in a debate. Kerry was on the debating team at Yale. The liberals call Bush an idiot. So by my logic if they tied that makes Kerry an idiot also or Bush is a lot smarter then the libs like to admit.

I can't believe it but I agree with Rick. Since the debate was about 30 minutes from my house the local news interviewed quite a few of the folks that got to ask questions. Not one of the interviewees changed their position. Those that were leaning to Bush or Kerry stayed that way.

Also everyone of them said their question was never answered. They were all disappointed.

Let me check... I'm pretty sure that the only polls that really matter are the ones on November 2nd... the rest of this falls into the category of who gives a rodents derriere...

These "debates" are proving several things that most of us already knew:
1. They do not mean a damn thing!
2. Nobody is going to change their mind based on slick performance or fumbling!
3. The only poll that will count will be the one in November at the voting booths!
4. Kerry is slick and doesn't say anything meaningful, "I have a plan, go to johnkerry.com"!
5. GWB is not slick and sticks to his trainers messages!
