SUCKS! I ordered some parts and set up installation in June. My service time came and went no parts sent. Five weeks past I get parts, some rejected upon deleivery. 3 weeks pass and no part. I call in and restart the process 1hr on phone, I also reset appointment, I was givin assurance the parts would be at my house within a week. No go. I decide to check again, and again today after 1hr 20 min. I'm told that they are on back order. I'm only givin confusion as to why it takes going on five months to get anything done. I have been assigned a case # and they will get back to me on Friday, because they care! MY BUTT THEY CARE!

This is the worst service I have ever received, does anybody else have any experience with GE appl.

Please feel free to complain about any CS if you need to vent. Hope you enjoyed this because I have not.

John, I had a GE washer & dryer with extended warrantee for about 12 years- no real problems!
Then, we bought "top of the line" Maytag w/o extended warrantee three years ago & have had nothing but oil leaks, breakdowns, etc.

They don't make appliances that last more than a few years any more. IMHO, get a warrantee plan or get ready!

Where's the money in making things that last.

Just like drug dealers, they get you on the come back.

The three warranty on the last washer we bought was almost as much as the washer itself. Skip the warranty and find a good independent serviceman.

Hi John,

I have a great deal of experience with GE and their appliances. My father worked for GE Appliances for ~33 years and my wife is currently employed at GE (for the past 7 years). What model line is causing all of your problems? I can tell you where it was manufactured and what may be the underling problem.

I have been dealing with Gateway computers CS...

My laptop pc's USB ports are not working and they are replacing the chassis (essentially the PC w/o a HD). I troubleshot the problem with a tech a month ago and still no replacement! I was told yesterday that the parts are still on backorder and they should get some more in another 2 weeks.... MAYBE!

This is why the company I work for buys Dells now. Something breaks, they come out to our site and install it... now thats CS!

I had the same experience with Maytag. Since we purchased these I have had continuous problems. The washing machine will start to smell bad and you have to clean the fabric softener build up out of the agitator. When we complained they said it was a known problem - big time design flaw.

Buckwheat - This is obviously a breakdown in the Six Sigma culture which is keeping GE stock prices up.

For those of you who haven't worked for GE, that ^ was sarcasm.
