two things:

1. i'm wondering why bush himself isn't crowing about this if it's so known ("we DID find 'em! see? we DID find 'em!"). pre-war he was certain. during-war, eh, he's not so sure. why isn't he aware of this man's intel affirming their existance?

HOWEVER!...

2. i am STILL -- truly -- suspending judgment on the issue. i will not say that iraq did not have WMD's, as i realize the logistics searchers face are all kinds of difficult (if not impossible). it's a lot of territory, and it's like looking for a needle in a haystack.

HOWEVER!...

3. i expect our president to be truthful and to NOT get up on a stage and say "we know 100% for sure" that there are WMD's, and "we know where they are" if it's not 100% factual. i expect our president not to commit the lives of our troops to a "maybe."

HOWEVER!...

4. i support the war in iraq totally -- not because of the WMD's ruse but because saddam needed killin'. :) seriously, i am glad that we invaded, and i think that ousting saddam and injecting at least the OPTION of freedom and democracy there is worthy on its own. we didn't NEED the WMD excuse.

aside from that, lemme tell you why i DO think we went. it wasn't for WMDs. it wasn't for oil. it wasn't for W's re-election. i think we went there -- and i've heard it from enough people at high enough levels to believe it -- to establish a US base there. and that, to be honest, is not a sucky thing. i just wish we didn't have to go through a game of charades to get there.

Cav, you've been listening to the right people... But we also had to release the bondage that was a strain on our military supporting no-fly zones both north and south of Iraq while Saddam played mouse with the UN and sanctions...

We had to pull out and away from Saudi....Period....to keep bases their after 911 was demoralizing to America and the Military...Kuwait isn't large enough to house a considerable amount of forces for extended time periods... and the UAE?? well their friends today.. what about tomorrow or next week??

now don't think for a second that Syria and Iran are out of the picture and where do you think we would be able to get a coalition build-up area between Saudi, Egypt, Kuwait or even Jordan??? not going to happen and have us striking either Syria and Iran while these other country's allowed us launching from their lands...

This War on Terror is long ways from being over.. hell it's just still begun...

I predict once the elections in Iraq happen and things seem to be half way back to normal.. the US will occupy some bases in Iraq and will already have the go ahead rights to strike these **** Country's that are saber rattling right now... with out much if any repercussions... Iran and Syria both know how fast Saddams army was DONE... a few strategic strikes on a few places and I see a fold in the cards... I also see is hitting Iran first... Hard and with an overwhelming Power Punch... then the altimatum will be given to Syria... I see them pulling up stakes tossing in the cards as did Libya... then where Sudan?? they'll fold also...These Country's and Peoples know nothing more then having to be slapped so hard to wake them up... Sad
