Good Friday Morning to All! It's 33° on the way to 59° today.

Going to my Chevrolet dealer to finally get a chip installed that operates the parking function. GM deducted $ off the list price so they could sell the truck and deliver the feature later. My dealer says GM has many parked vehicles waiting for a critical part, that has to be a PITA in the cash flow.

Wifey found a bottle at a specialty market, but I appreciate the offer!

Question for all you Sriracha eaters... Do you keep it in the fridge or not?

I refrigerate all my opened hot sauces. It's an everlasting debate in hot sauce forums/groups.

It can take me years to get through a bottle. I figure refrigeration will slow the degradation of the product. Shelf life between cabinet and fridge as far as product safety should be negligible. If it's going to spoil, the fridge for years isn't gonna save it. Also depends on how the sauce was made - fermented, brined, pasteurized etc.

The two pounds of shrimps I bought for tomorrow I thought were tail-on. They are, but also shell on. So I gotta do some peeling to make cocktail shrimps.

Told wife I'd make shrimp tacos for dinner, I don't need 2lbs of cocktail shrimps. She said she won't even try em and I can't make the boy eat "nasty ass shrimps". Mind you, wife has never eaten shrimp before.

Yep. Fridge.

Love me some sriracha. Best mix of just enough heat for me and a good flavor.

Can you imagine the length of a doctor’s visit if you asked your doctor about every drug you see on tv that tells you to Ask Your Doctor About….

I don't give two chits about the length of time I make a doctor take to discuss and explain everything.

And who's going to regulate it? The gov't? They're all in big pharma's pockets... which is why they are allowed to advertise.

There's NO reason for it. Pharma already gives doctor's kickbacks for prescribing their crap... which should be illegal.

Gov. already regulates and tracks it. There are govt websites listing different doctors' compensation and benefits. Blame your doctor too.

Think where he is going is the gubment regulates more than we know and does an average job overall in doing so.

An average job of regulation of big pharma would be baby steps in the right direction (imo).

Unseasonably warm today. Weather folks say it will be clear sky and in the 40's. It'll be a domestic day. Run some errands, knock off the rest of my Christmas list, visit a good friend, do some laundry, do some house cleaning. I predict some NFL watching and a nap will happen. Gonna have to root for the Bengals and the Broncos to give my Packers a better chance to get into the playoffs.

Russ's rain will be here tomorrow so I predict a lazy day and some cooking will be going on. Prolly make steak tips or tacos or chicken fajitas or all of them. Any leftovers will work out just fine for me to grab and go lunches this coming week. Plus some more football watching and and likely a cat nap. As I get older, at least for me, I appreciate cat naps.

65 right now, but overcast and feels pretty cold to me.

I'm not sure that the old adage about your blood thinning in a warmer environment is true, but I damn sure feel colder here. My theory is that it has to do with the moisture in the air. The humidity makes the hot feel hotter and the cold feel colder.

Chick-fil-A app is on a 12 days of Christmas gift giving spree, it seems. Been getting a gift every day in my rewards. Frozen lemonade yesterday, brownie the day before, mac-n-cheese, waffle fries... and today it's a chicken sammich.

Guess I'm having a chicken sammich for lunch.

I agree on the humidity making the hot feel hotter but the dry air makes the cold feel colder. Many peeps from more humid regions have said that they didn't realize how cold it gets/feels in the valley when the sun goes down. YMMV.

Currently a balmy 74 this afternoon.

Wish we had a Chick-fil-A in town. Closest one is about 30 minutes away. For chicken fast food we have KFC (yuck). If I have an urge for restaurant or take out chicken I'd go to the local mom and pop shop - Duguay's. They make yummy stuff and have been alive for over 40 yrs. I'll also take a side order of their Jo Jo's and deep fried pickles.

LOVED the early years of the show. Seasons 1 to 3 when Jake was cuter, had great lines and was easy to like. Not so much after he became a teenager and more of a wisearse.

Christmas list purchases are complete, hung out with a good friend and his grandson shooting the $hit for a few hours, laundry is done, bills paid, Team Viewer session to get my Mom's tablet email app "fixed." The most common problem with computers, phones, tablets reside between the device and the chair and the I Dee 10 Tee error.

Bengals beat the Vikings. So far so good. Time to settle down and watch the Lions vs Broncos. I hope the Lions lose but it prolly won't happen (shrug)

I the bar high for my weekends.

Tacos for lunch tomorrow. Prolly do some honey garlic chicken thighs in the crock pot with jasmine rice and veggies for supper. As I think of it thinking of it, we haven't had ribs in a while. (Mental note, buy some ribs and toss them in the freezer for future cooking).

Heavy rain and flood warnings all day. Slowed enough for Tank to do his bidness in the back yard, but he ran right back to the house.

Might try the walk after noon when it's supposed to slow or stop raining for a bit.

He had breakfast... I had breakfast... scrambled eggs with blueberry English muffins covered in strawberry preserves, so I got 2 fruits in one meal!

Sunday Sunday Sunday

Woke up to the cat screaming like he was being skinned alive this morning. It was because one of his water bowls was empty.

Got up and put him downstairs where he continued to yell. Went back to bed for an hour then let the dogs out and fed them. Big dog pooped little dog scratched at the door to come in and promptly chit on the living room carpet. Kicked little dog back outside and she's screaming like I skinned her alive.

I'm real close to getting the shovel and digging a big hole out back.

I was informed by the Mrs. today is her attempt to trim up our shelties.. So I set the table up and will assist at holding them still on said table, while she runs the sheers.. d'oh! "insert rolling eyes here"

had some chit on my glasses and she says I don't know how you get them so dirty all the time? I said well I miss my mouth sometimes when I'm eating... and hit your eyes with it? I said I gotta see what I'm eating!!! Herfing

yjrn she goes into her rant about gaining weight bla bla bla.. I said whatever! you keep going with that BS and I'm going back to our dating rule, If I can't pick you up, I'm trading you in for two 28 yr olds.. she calms down after that... Think

You are inhumane! That is the equivilent of making newborn babies work in Nigerian salt mines, 25 hours a day, 8 days a week, with no food, water or breast milk!

This is why immigrants aren't coming to the USA to work any longer.

Russ try migas instead of huevos ranchero.......... much easier and absolutely delicious. The recipe below is almost exactly as we make ours,we add refried beans either on the side or mixed in.

https://www.gimmesomeoven.com/migas-tex-mex-style/#tasty-recipes-60343

Guaranteed to be a big hit.If Julios original chips are available in your area they are the best for this recipe.
