If it is a completete tear of his achilles tendon at his age, the writing is on the wall.

Achilles Snap sounds like a cereal.

NEW YORK, NY — After the devastating reports came out that star New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers had suffered what is suspected to be a season-ending injury to his Achilles tendon, experts immediately expressed belief that the injury was a result of Rodgers being unvaccinated.

"Taking the vaccine would have likely prevented this," said Dr. Arthur MacArthur, a sports physician who has never treated Rodgers. "Research that we just came up with a few moments ago indicates there is a new COVID-19 variant that specifically attacks tendons and ligaments, particularly in the ankle. So Aaron Rodgers, due to his unvaccinated state, clearly came down with a sudden case of what we are referring to, as of right now, ‘COVID ankle.'"

The guy is kind of a douche, but I never want to see anyone get injured. I was actually looking forward to see if he made that much of a difference for the team... and now we'll never know.

Years ago my friend snapped his Achilles and said the rehab was brutal. He was in his mid-40s when it happened and certainly not an elite athlete like ARodg but said despite the many hours going to PT and doing exercises at home, his leg never felt the same.

I have dealt with it in the realm of representing people hurt in MVA crashes.

Most often, it occurred from slamming on the brake pedal. One case involved the firewall/floor buckling up and another was due to the driver seat sliding forward forward and severing the achiles tendon.

None of my clients were ever the same. I saw one about five years ago and she said that despite surgery, it just never fully healed right.

Hard to see a 39 year-old quaterback comming back...

Unless something goes medically wrong with the surgery or rehab complications, I can absolutely see Rodgers coming back. He’s single, no kids and will have an even bigger chip on his shoulder to prove the naysayers wrong. I also think he feels a strong obligation to the Jets owner and organization and wouldn’t be surprised if he played till at least 2025.

Gee, I'm going to miss the drama. Gonz
Four years of Favre will he/won't he, followed by AR playing a similar game for a couple years followed by his smug, swarmy, douchey departure.
Good riddence.

If it’s Tuesday we must be in Girdwood a ski resort town on the Turnagain arm of Cook Inlet. Couldn’t get weather to comply on the flight over Denali and headed to Seward tomorrow for a glacier trip.

My evening just took an interesting turn...

Storms rolled through with a lot of lightning and thunder but little rain. Wife went to bed, and I was going to go out on the back patio to smoke a cigar but wanted to go out front to see if I could see some lightning and make sure nothing was fast approaching. I suddenly realized that I was not alone on my front porch. There was a 10-12 inch juvenile diamond back rattlesnake sitting there looking at me like i just fugged up it's evening plans.

I tried to use the heavy thick doormat to slide mr. Snake away but it was having none of that. I really tried. Apparently it had paid the airbnb booking fee and it was staying. A few less gentle nudges moved it a bit farther down the walkway but it appeared resolute. I tried, I promise. Don't call the Sierra club on me.

Two minutes later I had retrieved a flat blade shovel and some lopping shears. I found the snake perched up in the arms of an aloe plant in front of my house. Excellent, it was elevated. A quick snip with the shears grabbed it and pinned it, and the blade of the shovel took its head off. It was still writhing and the head was still trying to bite as I buried it in a shallow grave so my kids wouldn't try to pet it in the morning...

Now I am out back smoking and trying to figure out which snake repellent granules to order from Amazon. I am sure he had homies.

Fortunately I haven't seen any snakes, yet. My neighbor has...

Talk about thunder and lightning? A boom so hard it shook my house like a damn earthquake last night. Was so loud the puppy dog didn't even bark or whine. He just looked at me like... "WTF was THAT!"

Got a little wet on the dog walk today. I won't melt.

Lab work and complete physical this morning.
Financial planner meeting in the afternoon.
Waiting for it to warm to a Feels Like temperature warmer than 51. Ideally 55 to walk the dog.

Miss Kuba has been varying between whining while staring at me and dropping heavily on one of her cushions with exaggerated sighs in vain attempts to get me to walk now.

Stogie,
The area where your house is was my quail hunting grounds many years ago. I’ve probably never hunted there without encountering at least one rattlesnake on every trip.

We also used the area for our Boosie Boondockers so you may find a lot of beer cans if you dig.

Short lap swim.

Trying to get reasonable quotes to have my shower glass removed so we can re-tile. First quote is $450, which as of now appears to be ludicrous. Just two people spending less than one hour and just 3 miles from their shop.

Wife and I are leaving for Boca Raton tomorrow to go down to my daughter's new place.Their plan is to cook Rosh Hashanah Dinner Thursday and Friday for Friday night. Son and his girlfriend (who we have not met), daughter, daughter's fiance and my niece will be joining us. Nice, traditional ceremonial meal with brisket, matzo ball soup, apples and honey, noodle kugel, rugelach, etc., etc.

I am also hoping to meet up in Bocca with one of my very best law school friends and to also go down to Ft. Lauderdale to swim laps at the International Swimming Hall of Fame Pool-where I swam laps for 2.5 years when I lived down there. [-o<

First one I have ever seen in my yard... Might be the first one I have seen alive. It was likely going after the ground squirrel(s) and mice living under my saguaro. I just need to mothball all the holes and the general area.

When I was digging up the backkyard for the lawn reno, I did, in fact, find a bunch of cans, although they were so degraded I couldn't tell what beverage they were. You bastid, quit littering my yard!

I saw a tv show once that showed the head of a viper being severed and it still kept biting and biting like you described.
I wonder whether the saying: "running around like a chicken with its head cut-off" has any truth?

When you cut off a chicken's head they still flap their wings and jump around but without a brain its dis coordinated movement so sometimes it's just flopping around sometimes their feet hit the ground just right to fly right at you and squirt you in the face with blood. Sick

Hospital I work for turns 50 today. They had a bbq catering company come and make some pigs, some briskets, chickens, beans, cornbreads etc for a free meal to all employees.

But the email says 11am-5pm. Nightshift gets nothing. I thought about going in early to get some but I'm not going in 2 hours early for that.

I have an odd urge for a couple hot dogs. I don't have any though. I'll have to put them on the shopping list. I'd either steam them, grill or boil them when I cook them at home, Not a huge fan of hot dogs but when eaten at baseball or hockey games they hard to pass up (maybe it's the atmosphere), Sometimes the craving for a hotdog pops into my brain.

The best hot dogs I've had were deep fried from a food truck. They were super yummy.

I'm not a fan of corndogs, Give me a hot dog without ketchup, various relishes or mustard,. Just a straight up hotdog on a bun with some diced onion, maybe some hot sauce then a bag of chips and a root beer or ginger ale and I'm good,

Totally need to get some hot dogs next time I go food shopping.
