WHATS EVERYONES WORST CIGAR
1. Author: GetSmokyDate: Wed, 1/10/2007, 1:19AM EST
In your opinion, what is the worst tasting cigar?
-As a newbie and I have only tried a handful, I think its cuestra rey. I am currently deployed to Iraq, and thats pretty much all we got here. I got a 5 pack "Royal Sampeler" and was higly dissapointed but the price I payed here. 27.99. I probaly got ripped off! The best out of the 5 pack was I think its called Pyramid # 9 .... Well I wanted to smoke tonight around the fire at the fire station here, and The only one they had that I havent tried so far was, 8-9-8. So we will see..... I payed like 5.15 cents for it, so I give er a shot.

Sad to say, but there are worse. Bad Frogs, Lone Wolf, and just about anything that starts with a "Don" at the front of the name. Don Carlos being the notible exception.

If they have anything from Fuente, Carlos Torano, Rocky Patel - shoot there are a gazillion good cigars out there. I know you don't have the selection available to you there that you need or deserve. My boy is in Barstow getting ready to head over there. I sent a huge supply back with him after Christmas to share with his buddies.

Anyway, here's the deal on likes and dislikes - one man's trash is another man's treasure. It depends on your personal taste, how long you've been smoking, if you like mild, medium or strong cigars. From there you'll decide what kind of wrappers you like. And so forth.

That's the beauty of smoking cigars. So many to try, so much to talk about. Hang around these forums and read the reviews of the regulars. We have some great reviewers on board here.

In the meantime, stay low, get your @ss home and thank-you so much for your service!

Thomas Hinds, By far the worst cigar i ever had.
4. Author: snowwolf777Date: Wed, 1/10/2007, 2:46AM EST
PS - Start buying some sample 5ers from CigarBid. You can try a lot for not a lot. Read the descriptions and reviews. If you get something you don't like, fire up a trade. The folks on these boards love our soldiers.

Cuesta Rey's are actually good cigars. Either they just don't fit your flavor profile or they haven't been well cared for. Sorry to hear that.

Have you been in touch with www.opfth.com ? Look up Smitty in the forums and shoot him an e-mail.

The Fighting ****, if you smoke this dogrocket first, you might not smoke a cigar again!

Fighting ****, Tamboril & Thomas Hinds ... ALL are better than my candidate for worst ever ...

Legion

a cigar I found to have the draw and taste profile of a 6" length of 3/4" galvanized pipe that had been
capped at both ends ... far and away, the worst cigar I ever had ... I'd have swapped 5 of these for a single one of the above named cigars, bad as they actually were.

Cumbres was another winner.

Not the worst I ever smoked but the worst "premium" cigar for me was the CAO Cameroon. To me it was just bland.

The worst worst was a candela wrapped P.O.S that they kept over by the White Owls and Phillies. You know not even in the walk in, just up by the counter. I wanted to try a Candela so I figured wtf.

really didn't like these at all.

Flavored cigars are on the very top of the list. Want a strawberry flavor? Smoke a strawberry.

Top "ack, ick, pfft"s that I've dared to try are Don Diego Playboy and National Brand.

Had to shave my tounge afterwards just to make the pain go away...

last stick I tossed very shortly after lighting was a Pryme Gold, other recent poor performers have included a Don Thomas Special Edition, Sosa Governer.

Worst cigar! I was conducting a experiment. I dry boxed a ok cigar for almost two weeks. BBLAH! So, I think aging, storage, and care has much to with cigar taste.

Most of the time! LOL!

Lord of Jamaica - YUCK !!!!

- if this is what cigar smoking was all about - no one would ever take up this passion of ours.

# 13 you mean to tell me those eggs are to be smoked!

#18 lay off the paint thinner.

With a 10 cigar a day habit since having to give up my beloved Camels , I've probably tried every dog rocket that's come down the pike. I've finally found a few good cigars that give me the best bang for the buck on a fixed income.

As bad as some of them dogrockets were, the only cigars I've ever thrown away was a bundle of Cremosa.

Wouldn't it be great if the other "C-*" website did a "Mammoth DogRocket Special"?

I've lost my mind now, guys. It's dog-rockets a-plenty. Whether you step in it or smoke 'em...you'll be in 'em for months. Can't you smell that smell?
Now, here's the stench-y part...
Five each of these stunning brown pieces:
(5) Fighting ****
(5) Tamboril
(5) Thomas Hinds
(5) Drew Egg
(5) Don Elias
(5) PI
That's 30 sticks which will blow your mind. (Or your lunch! ha ha)
PLUS...a free humidor with a picture of Homer Simpson smoking a Drew Egg. Duuh-ohh!

The Blue Labels that have showed up here recently are just God Awful. If Perdomo indeed made them then Nick should be ashamed of himself for unleashing such a dog rocket upon his loyal followers.
33. Author: captainfudgieDate: Wed, 1/10/2007, 11:56AM EST
Oh yes, just one more. I see someone mentioned Predators.I had mercifully forgot about them. They were indeed the worst.

46. Author: neopuritanDate: Wed, 1/10/2007, 5:08PM EST
Hmmm, I liked the Pryme gold.

The Arte Cubano, though, was made from leaves picked up from a milk cow's stall. Dung or soured milk, couldn't tell which one came through more. Haven't seen 'em here at cbid, though.
47. Author: DarbarianDate: Wed, 1/10/2007, 6:20PM EST
Pretty much anything made by the Reyes family.

Liga IV is the worst individual cigar I have ever tried. It is what I would imagine it would taste like if you rolled up the newspaper that the dog urinated on and tried to smoke it.
48. Author: DarbarianDate: Wed, 1/10/2007, 6:24PM EST
#25 Astral Candela. When I first tried one of these my mouth felt like it had been coated with petrolium jelly. I tried one that had been in my humidor for a year and it ended up tasting ok-ish.

Oh, and I agree on the Don Elias smokes. There is a reason you see these everwhere for cheap.
49. Author: Steven DrummondDate: Wed, 1/10/2007, 6:29PM EST
ddandb .... I forgot those, Don Elias are pretty lousy as well.

Hard to pick the one that is worse, Fidalgo Negro or Don Elias. Close race here.

Invino,, That's odd for a La Unica. Sounds like itwas real young and in a sick priod or not stored right . While i don't smoke theses alot i find them flavourful and sweet .,kinda mild but very good.A Fuente product i believe.
