What are yinz special occasion cigars?
This year and most it's usually a Padron '26 or '64. I only smoke them on special occasions which helps appreciate them even more.

Prolly break out a Cohiba robusto from the island. I see them every time I open the larger humi but have been patient so far.

^ I was thinking about the same thing. I have one Cohiba romusto left from a split a couple of years ago, was thinking I would fire it up this holiday season.

Depends on the weather. If it's cold there may be no smoking. If it's unseasonably warm perhaps a decade old Gurkha Black Dragon Nubilzer or one of the newer cigars I haven't tried yet.

With about a week and a half to go before Christmas, I’mma thinkin’ a yet-to-be-decided-upon Anniversary Padron or an Opus X for the Eve but nothing on the 25th since we’re hosting dinner that night. By the time we clean up and everyone leaves, it’ll be at least 10-10:30. For NYE, I think a Rare Pink Happy Ending would be an appropriate smoke as I sit out in the garage and watch my neighbors pop their fireworks and welcome in the new year.

I don’t know, it’s been cold AF in the mornings and nights here and since my grandparents have passed we no longer have the wrapper paper Bon fire-drink whiskey-smoke cigars then piss on the ashes finale….Ill probably have one NYE as my daughter will be with her mom that night this year.

Probably look for something nice after looking at old unicorn singles I never smoke…then pick something. Probably a Hemingway Classic SG.

dunno about Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. My smoking partners will likely be my son and my SIL, so whatever we choose, I've gotta have three of 'em...maybe a Partagas Culebra on the Eve and an Opus X on Christmas Day, pretty sure I've got at least three of a few of the vitolas.

I have been, and will do so this year, smoking Camacho Libertys on New Years Day since I retired on December 31, 2013. The Liberty symbolizes my freedom from the Man.

Hmm, I have a couple of older ones, they might be good candidates too. Think

My local B&M just got a box of Opus 20th. Took it as a sign to buy myself an early Christmas present!

Seems appropriate. I bought a few sets so I can try a set and let some age. Btw: I decided to hold off on that box of OX Oscuro and get some boxes of Anejo instead. I know a place if you and your nephew are interested in those Oscuro.

Thanks. I’ll ask him if he wants to pursue it.
