Anyone here do any king of home brewing?
I was recently turned on to it and I went all in. Currently only working in 1 gallon carboys, but got 7 things currently going. Looking for recommendations and recipes.
Currently cooking:
Merlot
Pinot Noir
Pinot Grigio
Peach wine
Hard Cider
Basic mead
Blueberry/raspberry mead

This might get more expensive then the cigars

I’ve done a lot of beer and some mead and wine but not much.

LeHockeyDad has done a fair amount of wine.

There’s some better resident experts here, they’ll post eventually

Tried making a zin years ago with my buddy who lived in Oxnard, Ca. He got the juice delivered to his garage and we did everything in a 15 gal carboy. It came out drinkable but tasted ever so slightly of pickle juice. I think it spent too much time in a barrel that was toasted darker than needed.

Used to brew mead. This recipe was the favorite:

Honey
Apple cider
Elderberries
Orange peels

You can also consider fortifying it by distilling it. There’s a way to distill by freezing it and scrapping out the ice crystals.
