Practice ammo someone had Norma for .24/round seen lots of cases of 1000 for $219

Defense I use Hornaday critical defense and Underwood Extreme Defense (nasty stuff). I use the Underwood in my 1911 as well to class up the Fudd cannon.

For carry, Hornady 9mm Luger 124 gr XTP or something with Lehigh projectiles in .380 or .32 ACP.

I reload my practice ammo, Rocky Mountain Reloading hollow points over Shooters World Clean Shot powder.

I do have a few rounds of 124 grain Norma FMJs as well as some Speer 124 and 115 grain FMJ ammo set aside.

If it seats it yeets, I buy the cheapest i can find for target and blastin fools.
Which is usually Winchester FMJ’s or Monarch (Academy’s brand, get their credit card and you get 5% off. The interest rate is horrible so make sure you pay in full every statement.)

If I’m shooting inside. A hole is a hole. In other words I buy cheap ammo. Don’t recall the last time I saw a 9 mm misfire even shooting the cheapest junk off the shelf. If it still moving empty magazine

According to Fudd lore the 1911 won the greatest war by itself….thanks to our Lord and Savior, John Moses Browning.

.45 APC is the Lord’s caliber.

Also according to Fudd lore 9mm is a useless caliber.

You have to be talking about Elmer Fudd the greatest of all.

The term Fudd has morphed into a guy who accepts undermining of The Second Amendment as long as he can have his deer rifle and duck hunting shotgun but doesn't think anyone needs one of those AR things. I am a FOG, but NOT a fudd. Frying pan

The first four to six are
Hornady critical defense hollow points...

The next 8-9 are federal FMJ or Winchester FMJ or
Cabela's Herter's private bulk ammo FMJ

I happen to watch the 2nd video by accident, most of the time I figure the weird bullets are a gimmick. I’ve shot watermelons. When I saw that last watermelon I was pretty wowed. I watched a few more vids before purchasing, but a place that was having a ammo sale happen to have these so I added to my order.

Not 9mm,
I have a Magnum Judge, for my bedside gun, with PDX1 3" magnum 410 self defense rounds. Behind my bedroom door, I have a Mossburg Shockwave 12 gauge, with 3" magnum OO buck loaded.
But when I am away from home, I carry a Sig P226 chambered in 357 Sig, if in my pickup, and carry the P365 Sig, in my vest, if on the Harley. Currently the only 9mm I carry. I carry it with Barnes Tac-XPD self defense rounds.

Not cheap, but obtainable;

It can be reloaded too. Starline has brass. It's just a bit more trouble than 9mm to reload.

Oh I’ve seen it too lately, even at Sportsman’s Warehouse (if you don’t mind getting it thrust in with no spit on their pricing). I should have clarified, I’m just now seeing it advertised sporadically now. 2 years ago it was like hen’s teeth.

AIM or PSA had 50ct boxes or target last month for $39.99 which I was amazed by.

Yes it is. I have been dropping in a 40 caliber barrel, to practice with, so I can conserve the .357 sig.
I am down to 7 boxes of FMJ, but I have just shy of 500 rounds of JHP, in .357 Sig But to put it in perspective, I have 4000 plus rounds of 40 cal FMJ, to practice with. The recoil is damn near identical.
