I just found what may be the last two Bucanero cigars, left, at least in my collection.
I just stumbled across, a Full Sale, and a Pegleg.
Damn I miss these cigars. There wasn't a dog in the pack. I just fired up, the Full Sail, and it instantly took me back to an awesome time in my life.
I had just moved back to Arkansas, after living in Southern California followed by 2 years in Montana. And I was working about 3 days a week, as a way to keep myself busy, in what I thought was partial retirement. I discovered C-bid, and my hardcore cigar collecting began. I had been smoking cigars, pretty regularly, since I was introduced to them by mt NA sponsor. I had bought cigars, up until then, at the local cigar shop. With Arkansas tobacco taxes, so high. I was not smoking but a couple on the weekend, always A Fuentes. After, finding this place, I became the proverbial kid in the candy shop. I went nuts. Outgrew my Humidor, and started filling Coolerdors. CAO Cameroon, became a quick favorite, followed soon by the maduro. Then I discovered Perdomo, Cupido, and then Bucanero. Holy Sheep Excrement Batman. I fell in LOVE. The Full Sail was the first I experienced. I quickly started bidding on boxes, and 5vers. Back then C-bid didn't offer singles., so the fiver was the smallest you could bid on. Then when I had a nice stash, of Full Sails, I thought if they did such a great job, on the Full Sail, I wonder what the other offerings from Bucanero, like. So I started ordering them up. I remember the Texas Star, but can't remember many, they were all amazing cigars. But then I smoked my first PegLeg. It quickly became my go to cigar. I smoked hundreds of the things. Great cigars. For sure my favorite stick of the line. So tonights' find is a little bitter sweet. These may be the last in existence , and I am burning the Full Sail first. I am loving this cigar. I have to save the Pegleg for last, since the Full Sail was my First Bucanero, it is only fitting, that it is the first to go. I am not sure when I will get around to the Peg Leg, but it will truly be a sad, but tasty day, knowing that I will never smoke that blend again. If it were not for C-bid, I would have never gotten a chance to feel this level of Love, and heartbreak, for some rolled up leaves.
