I stand corrected. The Elvis guy was suited up in the white suit thingy... kinda like the video you posted but without the cape. The band behind him was all in red. Not scarlet red but not burgundy, somewhere between. The small park is grass seating so bring a lawn chair or a blanket. If I remember and some benches closer to the "amphitheater" for the handicapped.
One or two food trucks and ice cream trucks show up to sell their goods. There are a couple food trucks that I want to sample. Local folks have given them high reviews. A truck that sells Polish cooked meals, another that sells Portuguese stuff, a third that sells Spanish food. I'm down to try all of those fixins'
Weather permitting they put on some jazz bands, blues bands, country bands top 40 bands and such. No national headline names, just local or regional bands. Something you'd see if you went to bars for local live music.
The little park is also hosts for a farmers market once a week (I think on Tues). There is another in town on Thurs (?) but I haven't been to them. The farmer's market closes around 4:00 and I'm at work. I might have to add it to my list for my son for things to do... hit the local farmer's market and get some fresh produce.
Another local woman uses the park for outdoor yoga classes. I don't think she charges. I don't think the town charges her either. It's public space.
Another local guy brings in a mobile petting zoo for the kids. Mostly lizards and turtles and stuff. Again, I don't think the town charges him for that.
I like my little town (I guess it's technically a city). It's not the best. As like any town we have some things to do to make it better but I think this town is on the upswing to try to become what it was some 20 yrs ago or even better than that.
