Trying to get an idea if these are any good, and why not ask the most knowledgeable and good looking group in the world!
I have only smoked the 1666, which I originally got in a sampler, and I liked it. They were too expensive to buy, but every now and then someone would have a special on them and I would get some. My cigar buddies liked them as well.

The last time Cigarbid had some Graycliffs on special all the comments were negative. I'm not sure if it was the G2, or the turbo, but they were blasted, some guys saying they wouldn't have a Graycliff if they were free. Again, I only have smoked the 1666, but I like them, and if you look at the reviews on Cigars International they are all pretty good.

The 10 Year Vintage Maduros are on sale right now here on Cigarbid for $42 for a 10 pack. Seems like a pretty good deal if the cigars are good, has anyone tried them?

Can’t help ya but mebbe do an Advanced Search, go back a few years and look for comments in the Cigar Discussion and Trades threads.

Or, of course, iffin’ you can’t find too many comments, just chance ‘um and buy a 10er and see for yourself.

Either way, good luck!

You can be sure that Palama will not send you a long distance runaround...

we get a lot of off the wall and silly questions here, but yours is no disgrace...we've seen all good people goin roundabout this cigar or that...

open your eyes and give the Graycliff 10 Year Vintage a try...then lift us up with your wondrous story.

I searched around the interwebs for reviews. This seems to have gained mixed ratings. I would also assume those who forked over $300 for a box of 15 don't want to admit they got an average cigar. I would recommend, as noted above, that you find out for yourself. After all, we each have our own palates and different tastes.

I seem to remember smoking one of them and it not being bad. Nothing special. I wouldn't pay $4.20 each for them. More of a $3 max smoke for me.

I agree, try some and give us a review. Mindful that if we don't like your review, or you, you will have to send each of us a 10 pack so that we can see for ourselves and write better reviews.

The Ten year vintage is available on cbid in a robusto and a Pirate I like the robusto and have purchased several 5ers. Bought a 5er of Pirate last week but haven't had yet.

Medium and smooth. Produces good smoke. Not overly complex has notes of cocoa and nuts

I paid less than $15 for the robustos and paid $18 for the Pirates the other day. I wouldn't pay more because I think you don't have to, but i bought the robs in the spring and they have trended higher.

Also bought the Double Espresso which is a double ligero (not infused despite the misleading name) It has a nice flavor, but have only smoked two and one had draw issues.

YMMV

THAT reply was awesome! Worth asking the question just for that!

I never cared for any of the Graycliff offerings in the past except for one of the originals that was gifted to me and that was just ok. Recently Graycliff has had help of some kind from A J Fernandez and I tried a few of those and found them to be much better, but still not good enough for me to chase.

about 13-14 years ago, when I got into cigars, CBid was offering several Graycliff lines, including Double Espresso, Professionale and G2, among a couple others I've forgotten, all at huge discounts of 70-80% off MSRP. I remember my local B & M sold several of the "same" Graycliff lines. The B & M versions all were churchill sized and had shaggy feet, and were $16-20 apiece (OpusX prices at the time). Bought one with the white band and compared it to the CBid namesake. The CBid version was a toro, slightly smaller than the authentic one., without the shaggy foot. They tasted totally different and the CBid one was not in the same class.

Turns out CBid was licensed to sell cigars with Graycliff bands and whatever tobaccos they decided to use. The authentic Graycliffs sold at the B & M were rolled at the Graycliff Hotel in the Bahamas using proprietary tobacco blends. I suspect none of the current Graycliffs sold at CBid are authentic ones rolled at the Hotel in the Bahamas.

The double espressos used to be nice haven’t had one for a long time…..the 18 year Cameroon was good till the prices got nuts here and I don’t lose bids.

Pretty good. I know Sonny Cumbie at LA Tech loves them. I smoked one and had bad loose stool after but cant say it was from the cigar.

Wow! Now that is useful information. How completely deceptive and totally unethical.
