I would like to give blood and/or plasma. My problem is that I'll allergic to needles.
OK, not a real allergy but I hate needles. I have to look the other way when they take blood for the annual Dr physical or if I have to go to the hospital and they have to stick in an IV or something. They always tell me that I have good veins and stuff and it'll be easy stick in the needle. Thanks for the vote of confidence but I'm still gonna look the other way and squeeze hard on this arm chair until it's done.
I'm glad I'm not a diabetic where you have to give yourself a shot on a daily basis or a couple times a day. But I think diabetics can just do it in their thigh muscle, belly, or arm rather than hitting a vein.
I think I'm type A so that's kinda boring. If I was type O, I'd probably be more inclined to donate and get over the phobia. Regardless, I'll also admit that the reasons given above are lame and I should get over it and donate.
Executive Summary: I'm a chicken when it comes to needles. I admit it.
