Just got back from a B&M with:
2 Sharks $10.00 each
2 48's $8.50 each
2 46's $7.50 each

I just wish the poor bastards bidding on the 5 pack lived near by!

Great price on the 48. here the cheapest was $10 + tax. If that included tax on the sharks great price as well. Only 1 local still has them and he wants around $12 + tax.

I saw 46s for $6.85, $7.15 and $8.65.

You have a good B&M. That's exactly what I paid for 2 Sharks and 2 46s. I smoke one of those 46s each New Year's eve while I deep fry the turkey. MMM MMM good!

Didn't see the 49s. But he always holds some back and then rolls them out after the holidays. He's got some Hemingway maduros and some little Opus X (I think) barber poles out now. I've had the Hemingway maddies. They're pretty good, too.

$13.50 is reasonable for a BTL.

There is a difference.

Yes, I think you're right Andy. Never smoked many barber poles. Might try one of those, though. They're not moving very fast.

I had to do it..............

I bought a box of #55's.....

My wife was not thrilled........

Oh well, I can't wait to pick em up after work today!!!!!! MERRY X-MAS TO ME!

I got 16 Work of Art Maduro's (what was left in the box, and the box) and 4 Between the Lines. The BTL's went up almost $2 a stick this year. I paid $14.25 a piece.

They were out of Anejo's when I got there. Never even saw one.

And whoever asked if the BTL's were worth the price? Hell yes.

^ Drathaar - how the heck are you! Long overdue for another trade, my friend! You guys are getting some good deals - I kind of lucked out with a box of WoA Maduro @ $200 and one of Between the lines (got a total of 30) for just over $430. These are great smokes IMO.

Never heard of "In Between the Lines" are they similar to the BTL??

I've been dealing with some life issues, but things are starting to look up. Instead of a wife I'm juggling 2 redheads and am working on a young blonde! I fought the divorce at first, but being single aint so bad. I think the 3rd wrapper is candella. Its been a while since I've seen a pic. Nice score on those boxes! I can manage a trade, what are you looking for?

You won't find any 'In Between The Lines' these days ... they were a 'very limited' production, and I've seen them (years ago) sell at auction for $750 each ...

... and the 'Between the Lines' sell here in Cali for around $25 to $30 a pop.

*** Hemingway In Between The Lines ***

Cigar name: Hemingway 'In Between The Lines'
aka: "IBTL"
Vitola: 7 ½" x 53
Wrapper: Connecticut shade, claro, & maduro
Binder: ?? unknown
Filler: Hemingway blend
Released: "unreleased", c. 1999
Quantity: Only 30 we made !!!
Rarity: 9/10

Notes: This cigar was originally rolled for "E-cubed", as he posted the idea for carlito in a "what stick for the Millenium would you like to see" thread on CF. He received a bundle of 30 of these cigars.

The In Between the Lines is wrapped with claro, natural, and maduro wrappers in a spiral pattern. This is one of the oldest of the "rare Fuentes". The 'In Between The Lines' is created with same mold as the Hemingway Untold Story cigar.

The spirals are not simply added to the cigar after the wrapper has been applied. During the rolling process, the three wrappers are cut to the same size, placed one on top of the other so that they overlap, and then the three wrappers are wrapped as one onto the cigar. This means that there are equal quantities of claro, maduro and Connecticut shade wrapper tobacco on these cigars, influencing the taste profile of the cigar.

The Anejos are one my favorite limited release cigars. I just scored a box of #77 and a box of DC Maximus. Merry Christmas to me. Still need to score a box of WOA maduros and a handful of Opus X and the holiday shopping will be complete.

Hmmm I’ve not seen one that includes a claro wrapper in the barber pole. Most descriptions of this cigar reference only the two wrapper types - Cameroon and Conn. broadleaf. Perhaps there’s a version with claro wrapper added of there used to be?
