All I can say is WOW. This is one tasty cigar. Nice and strong, just like I like them. My local tobaconist just got a box, and I'm returning in the morning to by the whole box. Looks like another sleepless night.

I agree. Great smoke. I only bought 3 last fall. Thought I'd head back and buy more the following week. By the time I got there, they were all gone. Wont make that same mistake next year.

Just got home from my annual Canada fishing trip. One of my cigars that I purchased for my nightly "two-fer" was the Anejo. It was also my first, and it was very, very good. I'll snag a couple more before the box is dry. Oddly enough, they were not getting much attention from the regulars.

My first Anejo was a #50, gifted to me by my Brother-from-another-Mother, Youngra.

Smoked it on my daughter’s birthday and also the night she got engaged so it was a very special moment.

Since then the #46 has become my go-to Anejo with the #77 Shark as one of my special occasion smokes.

I had one a couple/few years ago that was gifted. Aged it another several years and finally smoked it. Should have smoked it sooner - it didn't wow me.

Unfortunately probably smoked past it’s peak. I’mma not sure what’s the best range for Anejos but guessing it’s somewhere between 3 to 6, mebbe 7 years. About 5 years ago I bought a box of #46s rolled in 2009 or so and they’ve definitely lost some of the chocolately taste that I enjoyed with younger Anejos. But, they’re smooth as butter so they’ve got that going for them.

^ Exactly. Other than a quick bed rest to cure any shipping illness Anejo’s generally don’t need to be aged as the tobacco they are rolled with has already been aged 3-5 years. Keep in mind an Anejo has the same filler and binder as the Opus X. The difference in the two is the wrapper.

I like them aged, they tend to burn much better.

Whoa brining back a 2004 thread. Makes sense for the Anejo!

I too recently had the pleasure of smoking my first Anejo within the last year or two and love them!! I like the 48 and 49. Just had a 46 for the first time, was a little too small IMO.

Seemed like they came out well past fall this year. With a few local B&M’s here in northeast Ohio just getting them in stock in December and some still have them in stock!
