I used 100% silicone caulking, when cured it has no odor and since it is behind the cedar it does not come into contact with the gars

I used "tite bond" (I think) wood glue. It's non-toxic and has worked incredibly, I picked it up at a local hardware store. If you have any other questions let me know, I'm very pleased with my coolerdor as far as functionlity as well as inside appearance. chris

I take the thin strips and just lay them on the bottom for aroma, and keep the cigars in boxes. Works well enough for me.

i keep my smokes in the cedar boxes and toss pieces of cedar in the coolerador. maybe we have a resident chemist out there who can answer the adhesive question. personally, i don't trust any man made adhesive around my cigars.

heavy duty two way tape. On my first coolerdor, I had to make a cover for the wheel well (coolerdor a go-go). for this I used a non-toxic wood glue. Had no problems for a year now.

Hot glue gun might work. PL-400 will permanently glue anything....don't know if it's toxic though.

I do this too and to avoid having to play Cigar Box Tetris, use the same boxes once I figure out a good layout. As such, over the years, many boxes don’t contain any of the original cigars so hafta tape a list of what’s in each box so that I don’t hafta keep opening them up while looking for a particular smoke.

To the really old first post, there is a food grade silicone available. Once cured, safe for food contact.

Great if you humidify with lettuce.

Tape a “list”?
Excel is your friend. Better organization options…………waaaaay less work.
It’s kind of like walking into a restaurant.

When I go to a restaurant, I dont typically walk around in the kitchen and walkin coolers to see what they have……….I look at the menu.
My cigar setup is similar. I just look at my “menu”, and decide what I want to smoke.
Upside is my “cigar menu” tells me exactly where the cigar is, when I bought it and how much I paid.
Cigar is quickly found, no rummaging with cooler open, shoving cigars around, etc

I used to keep an Excel file of where every cigar was…but, after the 3rd or maybe 4th cooler it became too arduous. Plus, as I rummage through coolers, I’ll open up the boxes to let in fresh air and to do a quick check on them. As weird as it may sound, I like to do that. As I rummage the coolers / boxes if there’s something that I wanna smoke in the next month or so, I’ll pull ‘em out. Would be a little much to then rectify the spreadsheet, easier to just line out the cigar or change the count on the list.

Do it the way God and nature intended. I throw new stuff in wherever there is room without keeping any real track of what is where. Then, when I want something, I rummage through multiple coolers and tuperdores and boxes getting frustrated because I can't find that PERFECT cigar that I want to smoke. After I look through everything with no success, I start over, then usually find it. Only takes 20 or 30 minutes, but then I can't get all the boxes to go back in to the cooler the way they were, so add another 10 minutes of frustration.

I've got an Apache spreadsheet with a spot for location, but I can't seem to keep up with where they are. I lie Palama's idea of a list on the boxes.

I basically know where I have stuff, or at least have a pretty good idea which cooler it’s in. A few years ago I separated and consolidated, as best I could, by brand. Two Fuente coolers and then one for Tat / MF, one for Cubans and two for singles and brands that don’t merit their own cooler. The challenge is with the mix ‘n match coolers but as long as my memory stays somewhat sharp (…how’s that for alliteration Dan?…) I don’t need to do what KOTC does.

Sometimes old school works the best.
