well, you know - I have read where the best cubans are aged "cabinet" style.

If it that is the best of the best, wouldn't it stand to reason that is how we should store others?

I do appreciate your responses.

I laid awake thinking about this last night.

Now, I will be able to sleep.

Luckily, since I am semi-retired I can sleep during the day if I like.

I'm a cigar noob, but I read to cut the open end of the cello off. This both protects and allows the cigar to breath. I like this approach with the cello on cause if you're like me and go digging through your stash to see what you wanna smoke it protects the wrappers from damage.

I know, and that is very comforting isn't it?

If I have a really bad and awful day (like I did yesterday) I know I can come here and these guys will be certain to ensure that I will easily be able to forget what was troubling me and have a dialogue that makes me forget whatever it was that is on my mind.

Not only that, they make sure I have fun in the process.

While Triodes may not be new to cigars, he's new here. It seems he's been buying some things that get discussed here, and he's not real familiar with the packaging or if they should be stored differently. It's more of a compliment that he's taken the advice of some of you, and bought them.

Ok. Back to bashing.

well, really.

If people going to let cigars rest/age, or whatever - storage is an important issue.

It's daylight out there, so I couldn't get back to sleep.

Might as well get some of the really important questions resolved

It's always dark under a bridge.

You should wrap all your cigars in foil and pretend they're all Tatuajes.

That's a wonderful idea! I bet it will make them all taste more like tats, too!

Do you think regular foil from my wife's kitchen will do?

I don't remember seeing any of the gold foil except at christmas and I think it's too early to buy any.

If tatuaje uses gold foil, shouldn't I use gold foil too?

I mean, maybe it has something to do with the humidity or something?

thank you very much ZRX

I'll let you know how they turn out, ohh - after a year or two.

Provided I can remember, that is.

You know, where they are, why they are in foil, who suggested it - that sort of thing.

My wife asked me several times what I had for lunch yesterday, and I didn't answer.

Then she said, "you never listen to me!"

Anyhow, I think that's what she said.

If you store them in peat moss for humidification, leave the cello on or wrap them in foil (green is best). I leave the cello on and sometimes put cello on if they come naked. It should provide a little protection for the wrapper. I think I currently have about a dozen sticks without cello, and I still have the cedar wrap on my lone Anejo.

You're confused? Every time I think I'm OK leaving the cello on, I read a post that says take it off. Then while I'm taking the cello off, I read I'm supposed to leave it on. So, I'm gonna pull the cello half way off and wrap my humis in gold foil.

I laid awake thinking about this too many nights already.

After I started this thread, and these azzhats started bashing me, I got real upset. I was so upset that for a while I was sick to my stomach.

So, rather than go thru the stress of asking more questions, since Tuesday I have been smoking them all with the cello on.

You guys would really be surprised at how much better they taste. If you don't believe me, try it yourself.

And Ive been sleeping much better till that mean ZRX started harassing me about tinfoil.

Wheel says if I sleep with him that he will get ZRX off my back, but through the gap in the door I saw ZRX behind him and I don't trust them and I think they both want to have their way with me. I don't want to look back thru that horrible thread but I'm pretty sure that ZRX was asking me to walk in the park with him and trying to tempt me with candy.
