I'll say it.
Kudos to President Biden to help facilitate a contract and avoid a rail workers strike.

It's odd that the self proclaimed "most pro-union president in history" is the first since Reagan to roll up his sleeves and get involved in the contracts.
But with the economy in peril of spiraling out of control it was needed.

And we've got the president of the BMWED Tony Cardwell claiming that the workers don't feel valued.
There is a 24% wage increase. But they don't feel valued.
They won't be doing 24% more work. But they will get 24% more money.
But they don't feel valued.

You mean the strike he helped avert and took credit for back in September or the "I Don't Know What I'm doing & A Crazy Lesbian Is Tired Of Lying For Me So We're Punting It To Congress To Solve It"?

He didn't do a thing for the unions. He barks like he does. Why anyone supports this clown blows my mind, he hasn't done a single positive thing in office. EVER. He's a constant embarrassment, but the unions willingly give their money, support and devotion to the DNC. A political party that wouldn't piss on them if they were on fire.

24% over five years doesn't mean much if we continue to have higher inflation than we are accustomed to.

C'mon, you know how it works.

Anything good credits Biden or the Dem party.

Any bad stuff, Trump, or Repubs caused it -Or those parents getting involved regarding schools.

Can you imagine if we had even a 60/40 media - Dem/Rep? People might know stuff.

The RAIL UNIONS are shamelessly taking advantage of the plight that Americans are suffering under the BIDEN ADMINISTRATION by threatening to shut down the economy and make everything worse. So they hitch their wagon to the government. I think they call that FASCISM.

I could go for a 24% wage increase. That'd be nice.... and an ice cream sammich.

Could really go for an ice cream sammich right about now. One of those cheap ones that don't really contain ice cream but a fake ice cream thing.

Or a Blizzard from Dairy Queen... with Heath bar chunks... that would hit the spot (sadly the nearest DQ is like 45 min drive)

I don’t think people on social security would be pissed with 24% over 5 years

It all depends on what the rate of inflation and real pay growth will be.

I still want a Heath bar Blizzard. The old furniture factory I live in still has some abandoned train tracks that have been paved over.

Maybe if there was a Uber train that ran on electric power... then maybe I could get a Heath Bar Blizzard delivered.

Hey, if they don't like the benefits, they can find another job, threaten to strike or strike.

They threatened to strike and congress told them to suck it. Railroads and airlines can’t strike.

They can quit though. Otherwise we will chain them to their locomotives.
