Was expecting a delivery from the old MB3 place (interestingly, about the only cigars I don't order from them anymore are MB3's, better deals elsewhere)
The tracking info said it was going to be delivered last Thursday and, low and behold, when I walk in the door there is a bundle of cigars on the kitchen table.
[Now my wife does not usually open up my stuff, but between all the things she orders for us and her side-hustle home business, we get a LOT of packages, so it does happen -- enough that I have to warn her when a gift might be coming in!]
But to my dismay what was on the table was not what I had ordered, but something called "Rosa Cuba." I looked it up on the MB3 site, its a sandwich/mixed-filler Nicaraguan stick going for $1.60 per or so even when not on special.
So I double check my order to make sure there was no mistake on my end and then fired off an email to customer service saying that I got the wrong order, what they sent was not even close!
Just a few seconds after hitting "send" my wife walks in to tell me these cigars were a gift to her boss who doesn't smoke so he gave them to her to give to me. "Oh, and you also got a package, I put in upstairs on the bed."
Well, you guessed it, the box upstairs was MY order.
Fired off a second email saying "never mind." Have had no response to either yet.
The kicker is the Rosa Cubas are not horrible. Yeah, its a yard 'gar, but its a pretty darn good one. The description on the site is spot on. Coffee, pepper & other spiciness. Although a bit squishy from the loose-pack, it burned a pretty long time and never got hot.
In short, you could do a lot worse if looking for something in this price range for the boat or golf course or, you know, yard work.
Also, wait a while before shooting off emails LOL
