And I think you miss the larger point. Consumers are expected to be perfect in their delivery of what is asked of them (money). Large corporations, on the other hand, have staffing issues because of the economy, and supply-chain issues, and etc., etc., etc. I don't give a chit. I don't whine to Cbid about my mortgage payment or how much I (still) owe in student loans. They don't care. Why should I care about their issues? And, as has already been said, I bet they do not have a staffing shortage in the billing department. That would be intolerable, and they will pay what it takes to fill those positions.
