i suggest you don't collect them because one day they will dry out regardless of how well they are stored. you are adding water to the cigar to replace it's natural moisture. buy them and smoke them. i paid about $30 ea for two of these. they were fine. would i trade 5 or 6 hemmingways for one, or 5 or 6 monte #5s. no. if you are loaded (rich), it doesn't matter. an expensive, fancy cigar every so often for a special occasion, is nice, but if you are going to smoke 5 or 6 cigars a day, or even 3 or 4, be careful you are not smoking a car payment. there are some very good cigars around for less than $3.00, sometimes, like the hamilton's box that was just on closeout for $20. for 25 cigars. in vegas at the new york casino, they get $15. or more for the same thing. it is true, that sometimes the difference between a $15. cigar and a $3. cigar is $12. quoting the rat that bought and sold his stock and screwed a lot of small stock holders. you have to kiss a lot of frogs to find a princess. the 5 pack is a good way to try different ones and when you find "your" good ones, buy them at auction by the box. also, not a good idea to mix different cigars in a humidor. put an onion and a piece of fish and some cheese in an ice box and see what happens to flavor. an exageration of course, but not much, when you are dealing with subtle flavors of cigars. plenty of cheap cigar jar type holders for $10. if you buy them at stores selling jars and not a cigar store. good cigars don't require much aging, the have already melded, cheap cigars are not going to get much better. collect beanie babies, smoke cigars.
