Hello, I am a new poster. I really enjoy the Flor de Los Reyes. I took a chance, won a bid, liked them for the price and have been buying more. I really like these. Here is my question. Since these are about 4 and a half yars old, how long can they be stored ( boxed in a coolordor ) without starting to lose the taste they have now ?
Is there a time limit say another 2 years or so before they start to decline in taste? I like them well enough that I would like to buy several more boxes of the churchills.

check the prices of 30 and 40 year old premium cigars the have been properly maintained, and you will find people think a single 1 cigar can be worth over $100.00

Just pay attention to the humidity and temperature. I have a box of 6 year old white owls I tried to give away. I bet they are just as good now as the day I stuffed them on the shelf in my garage.

If properly humidified and the temp. which is conducive to storing cigars..............then longer than one expect even longer than your lifetime. Recently a find of handmade cigars were found in a cellar in Spain I believe where the cigars were estimated to be over 300 yrs. plus that had the right humidity/temp. that were still in perfect shape. Man I wonder what one would taste like......I would bet as good as those we buy fairly new.

Hey Dave; Here's the truth, and this is going to get me into a lot of hot water with E-Chick. Think of your sticks like a woman. If you maintain them properly, they'll stay in good shape and still be around for many years to bring you pleasure. Like spending quality time with them. Then again, my gars don't usually last longer than a year. No comment on my women! Sorry E.

RJDC...no hot water in sight man...I whole-heartedly agree with you. Take care of them right in the first place and you can't go wrong!

Some say cigars kept for too long will lose their oomph, their spiciness. Yet another similarity between women and cigars. :-)

Hey Cougy, have you seen the recent pics of E-Chick? Lots of ooomph there boy! I don't know what I enjoy more, looking at my collection of gars or pics of E-Chick! She sure looks well kept.

I have seen the pictures and she is definately the exception to the rule. She is apparently being well kept.
