I tell you what, I believe Torano is the most under rated cigar company. While Fuente is busy attending banquets and receiving awards, Torano is quietly making some of the finest cigars in the businses. Yesterday at my local tobacconist I saw a box of their Exodus cigars, torpedo. The gorgeous thick box had 3 layers of cigars and two removable trays. Looking at the cigars I have hardly seen anything like it, every single cigar in construction and appearance was absolutely flawless! All I could find was one very teeny tiny sunspot on one wrapper. So either they have some of the best rollers to be found or maybe there are going to be many seconds. The wrapper is a dark, oily and choclate brown and gives off a sweet scent which gave me hunger pains, every wrapper was perfect in appearance and obviously carefully selected, no need to color match with these, even the bands are exceptional. The price for the box was only $70 so I gave it a good home in my cabinet. The final step of course will be to smoke one, but except for Grand Nica, I have never smoked a Torano I didn't give high marks to. I believe that this has to be one of the best values out there, the box alone is something you would see Perdomo use for their $200 cigars.
