That is how I got started on tobacco as a kid, my grandparents dipped powder snuff, but this region of TN is known for chew, they (mods) shouldn't mind since they don't sell cigarettes or chew, It' usually in the Co-ops, etc. All over the country, nice mild, good flavors natural.
If you want I can send you some, (addy required) as it has fallen under the no ship laws. I have a co-op in my home county that keeps it.
google Stoker's chewing tobacco. The family company shop (old man Fred passed in 09) has been closed, but the baccy lives on!
Some old guys that worked with my dad on the RR grew their own and would make their own twists, now that was meeeaaannn tobacco for chew, I think they got a kick out of a 15-16 yr old chewing strong stuff, thinking they would see me go green, hell I had been dipping powedered snuff for a couple years by then, That's when SKoal, etc. was new, I was dipping Garrett sweet or scotch snuff, hehe.
