that's when i was born, in a log cabin in brooklyn, with only candles to read with, and only an open window for air conditioning. had to take a subway 4 miles to get to school. so poor, we had to beg for cream cheese and lox to put on a bagel. you could still get chocolate milk from a brown cow. and milton berle used to come to peoples houses to make us laugh, until tv was invented. the only thing we had to fear was "fear itself", but we were so poor, we couldn't afford it.
