This was forwarded to me from a liberal friend. I cannot vouch for it's accuracy. Nor can I say that it tells the whold story and has not left anyone out.

Maybe some of you can enlighten me further...

I received the same sort of message. I replied, "Glad to see you have learned the value of military service. I guess this means you will not support Hilary in four years."

As ususal left off those who did serve! Under Pundits and other add:
Jimmy Stewart AirForce General and Bomber pilot-Republican
Audie Murphy-Most decorated soldier in WWII actor, republican
Glenn Ford-Air Force pilot, actor, republican

Also left off:

George H.W. Bush USN Pilot
Barry Goldwater USAF Pilot
Colin Powell-USArmy General
General Tommy Franks, retired 4 star General!
And I am sure the list can go on!

This is typical spin!

I'm not going to elaborate on this, but I see one error in the Republican list that I know of, I'm going to see if YOU will research what you've posted and find it! Maybe you'll find other disinformation as well!

I can only speak for my ship, but if it is an example of the rest of the military, you may find it interesting to know that when we in the "Chief's mess" refer to Democrats, we refer to them as "F-ing Democrats".

I'd say that 80% of the people on THIS ship vote Republican. All but 2 of the Chiefs do... and the Officers are pretty much the same, all voting Republican with the exception of a couple.

Hey Foster,

Did you read my words at the top of the original post? I, honestly don't give a $hit and I'm not going to do any research for you nor am I going to kiss your a$$.

I thought it was interesting and was looking for some enlightenment. I found some. In fact, I apprised the guy who forwarded it to me of the errors that were mentioned here and brought up the fact that it is obviously partison based.

As far as my politics are concerned, I'm independent and lean Libertarian. I voted for Arnold and am going to vote for all of the Cali. ballot measures that he supports. After reading them, I do happen to agree with him on those.

As for President, I'm not happy with Bush. Sorry if that gets your panties all in an uproar, but if you think he will be going down in history as a great President, I think you're in for a bit of a shock.

Take it easy

Regardless of how anyone feels or casts their vote, you can't deny one fact: Our servicemen and women were FAR BETTER PAID AND SUPPORTED UNDER REPUBLICAN LEADERSHIP. Now with that said, you'll have to decide just how that applies to your own sitation. You may or may not give a $*%^ about it, but to those in uniform, getting a 5-6% annual raise under the Bush administration means more than the paltry 3.1% average under Clinton. Bush also got huge increases in housing allowances, upgraded and more housing for active duty. All in all, quality of life has been upgraded. All Clinton could do was close bases, shrink the ranks, and just keep some of the younger enlisted at or just below the poverty line. ASK ANY ACTIVE DUTY MEMBER WHO SERVED UNDER BOTH ADMINISTRATIONS.

I was there.. thus why I cannot stand Clintons...

Base Closings are under both watches.. it is a mandated thing that went through congress along time back...

the pay raises for the Military is a Needed expense and should not be tampered with... Bush and company just set it back the way it should have been...

I was close. The Navy Times did a poll and 73% of today's military will be voting Republican!

I only wish the rest of the country was half as smart as the men and women in the military!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't W. push for shrinking benefits for Vets. My Grandfather, Chief Boatswain's Mate's ship was Torpedoed in WWII. He spent the night struggling for survival in shark infested waters watching his men die. His poor old body aches. I think he, my many other family member vets and all vets and present service men and women for that matter deserve the best America has to offer.

That goes double for you fellas and the rest of the military folk here. My family and I truly do appreciate your service.

It seems there is a category that has been left out...

>Vietman Veterans honored in the Vietnamese Communist >War Remnants Museum in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon)

>John Kerry

Sketcha, here's your answer to the one question above..

http://veterans.house.gov/news/108/5-19-04.html

Now do you need to see what Kerry's votes have been for the military AND the Veterans of this Land???

the democratic machine.... throw enough **** on the wall and somethings got to stick... while Americans are to busy to catch the real story behind the Story... they catch blubs and bits and peices of half truths....

I'm sorry, Hog I skimmed it, but didn't have time to thoroughly read it. Did I miss the part that says W. signed something?

Well my guy may have done all of this but what has your guy done? I know it was bad, but at least he did somehting. If there are gonna be facts and statistics thrown, at least make a plausible argument. The old "my dad can beat up your dad" line just doesn't fly anymore. I hate the way the democrats put spins and half truths all over the liberal media. I love hog's line of "throw enough **** against the wall and something is bound to stick." That is great!!

I went home to WV to vote, drove over 430 miles to do so. There were 10 people in line behind me waiting to vote. I told them I was a Marine just back from Iraq, those of you who recognize my email name know who I am, and they all said they were supporting President Bush also. The polls seem to be a little off. The big cities and rich areas of town were the only areas from NC to WV where I saw any support for the anti war candidate.

This is pure spin...nothing more nothing less. If this is all the Libs have, then Bush has nothing to worry about. If nothing else it shows someone can leave key names off a list and put key names on a list...btw, the list as it appears is inaccurate...but WHO CARES....SPIN!
