I am a long time member who rarely posts anymore but generally checks the boards on a daily basis. I know that we are in the heart of the political season but I find that there are many posts that have crossed the line. Attack a position, attack reasons for a choice but when someone attacks another member they have crossed the line. I believe that C-Bid should have a zero tolerance policy on personal attacks and that those posters should have their posting rights revoked.

I agree. I find that some people here that don't like my political stance will make disparaging remarks to me on unrelated topics but hey,that's their problem,not mine. X

When a person attacks an individual and his family, simply because that individual holds an office, he is also personally attacking everyone who voted that individual into office. If he calls the elected official "stupid" he is also calling anyone that voted for that elected official "stupid".

Is there anyone on this board whose life style is so perfect that he can slander an elected official? When those that slander have their life style questioned, they are the first to yell foul and whine.

If they can't take as good as they give I suggest they find another board that may tolerate their bull****.

Jon... Barry was just pointing something out here...

I didn't see where anyone attacked barry?? I think he is just giving his observation as to what is going on on the forums here lately.... I agree also and I have been pretty harsh on a few attacks at myself...

I honestly cannot wait for November 2nd to get here and be over with... I think everyone also feel the same way...

I find nicotine makes an excellent chill substance, and when delivered in the form of a flowery, even burning maduro, maybe with a Guiness or some rich, complex zinfindel, I just look up at the stars, marvel at what an insane world this is, and love every second of that nicotine and ethanol interacting with my primate molecules; then I wash my face, brush my teeth, and go cuddle in with the wife. Not a bad deal, for the time being anyway.

Though I wish it were true, I seriously doubt the political posts will stop after Nov 2. Unfortunately, I believe they will continue on for a long time. Nothing wrong with that, I guess. People can post whatever they want. On the other hand, I'll never understand the obsession. I take it seriously, but it does not rule my life. The Misc board hasnt been "Miscellaneous" in a long time. It is overrun by copy/pasted info from news sites.

My vote: Bring back the Politics board.
