Believe me , it HURTS me to think that I will probably vote with them this time around...

I'm not a fan of many other special interest groups either.
Too bad we can't just be plain Americans fighting for the common good, but not forgetting about the little guys out there who don't have anyone.

I didn't need another reason either, but this is a good one. I hate politicians.

a wise man once said "How can you tell if a politician is Lieing?
His lips are moving!"
A wiser one pointed out that sometimes they write!

Great column today from George Will on this very subject...

"John Kerry's selection of John Edwards as running mate was a blunder, and not just because Kerry probably will lose Edwards' North Carolina. The Edwards selection ratifies a provocative fact: trial lawyers have become the Democrats' most important faction. This has energized small-business owners, the self-employed, doctors and others who worry that they live one lawsuit away from ruin. Such people, now aroused, may propel tort reform that will curtail the windfalls that make trial lawyers the Democrats' largest source of contributions."

Hey RICKAMAVEN

I'll provide you with a little Friday-morning insight...it's the friggin ambulance-chasing trial lawyers that dig-up the frivolous class-action lawsuits (asbestos is a classic example) that do only one thing...pad their pocket-books with millions of $$$...just ask the Breck Girl how he earned his millions!!

And idiotic Democrats wrongly blame Republicans for US corporations outsourcing jobs..its the oppressive tort legal system, combined with the stifling government regulations legislated by the liberal, corporation-hating Mr. Flip-Flop types and his henchmen that have driven jobs overseas.

Rick this is a very hot issue in IL as we are losing doctors big time. We have a Dem governor and I have not even heard him address this issue. The response I received from my Dem state senator was pure BS. All he had to say was tort reform would not solve anything. He offered no counter plan.

I hate to admit it, but my Brother-in-Law and Sister-in-Law are both lawyers, one does Estate Planning while the other does Corporate Law...

However, they are an exception to the case noted above as they are both Republicans. My Brother-in-Law has even made a campaign contribution to GW.
