So is the Gurkha a habana or not? I guess I will have to smoke it and see what I think. I plan on bringing it to the deck herf with me. I hope I can wait that long.
Pete, were are you? I hope your ready.

Great play, Ropeman. You didn't waste any time, either. Glad to see that poor box is getting back to NJ after traveling the U.S.

Lowman,

Take extra special notice of how DocRKS and Mrs. DocRKS organized this pass. It will be a great learning experience for you as you venture out on your own in the next month or two.

Notice how the box is nicely packed. Notice how the main bags are organized. Notice how each stick is labeled. You have much to learn young grasshopper, but if you stay focused your brothers of the leaf feel that you have the potential to be successful.

DocRKS,

Thanks for the great experience. It was a lot of fun being part of the pass. You and Monica did a fabulous job on the cigar selection and organization of the pass.

Now, if only I could figure out a way to be at the Deck Herf.

Best Regards......Rocco

Gentlemen of the Leaf,

First let me compliment Roman on an amazing facilitation. This was a beautiful thing to behold.

Secondly let me state how humbled and outclassed I felt after reviewing some of the class puts and takes from past participants. To quote BSmith "AMAZING!". Being invited to join this pass was a privilege.

My shallow pockets do not allow me to enjoy some of the world class sticks that were enclosed but they were wonderful to review and study, some of which I have never seen in person.

Below, please find my takes and puts. I pray they are close to the mark. I welcome any comments and would address them with no issue. No foul intended.

ISOMs / No Change
Ultra Premiums / No Change
Super Premiums / No Change

Premiums:
[Takes / Puts:]
Ashton Aged Maduro No.40....../.....Cohiba Extra Vigoroso XV 749
Davidoff Grand Cru No.1....../.....Graycliff Robusto
Arturo Fuente 858 Sun Grown....../.....Arturo Fuente Hemingway Signature
Oneoff # 2 Grand Corona....../.....Davidoff 2000
Oliva Ovation Maduro....../.....Arturo Fuente Don Carlos No. 2 Belicoso

I also enclosed a bunch of sticks for the troops, as well as a few bonus sticks for the pass members ahead.

Lowman, Friday is looking good, email sent.

Cheers,

PT ;-)

Great Plays...

Just let me know where and when...

YEA !!! I'm Next !!!

BTW ... You should NEVER feel "outclassed" by any other BOTL... Nor should any other BOTL make you feel "outclassed". We are ALL "Lovers of the Leaf" !!

Hmmmmmm, I wonder how much a round trip ticket to New Jersey would cost me?? We'll all be there, "if only in our dreams".

Great play PT.

Echo Low that you should never feel outclassed. Some can afford more, some less. With a new kid, nobody expects you to mortgage your house for a couple of cigars. It'a all about the leaf, er, after the family

I spent the whole time it was in route, trying to make sure I had something in each category. My wife thought I was nuts. Great fun and great research on all the different sticks in that box, though.

PT,

Exactly what Dan said. I spent a lot of time trying to hold up my end of the pass and I felt (and still do feel) that I was a neophyte compared to the rest of the guys in the pass, but DocRKS and the rest of the guys made me feel right at home.

I wouldn't use the word 'outclassed', outgunned maybe but definitely not outclassed.

Best Regards.....Rocco

The box is to be passed to the Lowman this evening! A Mini Herf is scheduled at J&R in Whippany NJ for the in-person hand off. I have been told certain esteemed members of this forum may attend. [Note to the pass members... Since this is a in-person pass, I will not be posting any postal info.]

I have made one amendment to my takes and puts, with regards to the Oneoff # 2 Grand Corona / Davidoff 2000 "trade". While doing my final inspection, I noticed that my Davidoff 2000 was slightly damaged. Since reputation is on the line, I removed this stick, and replaced it with a Davidoff Special "R". I could not find a price posted anywhere on the web for the Oneoff # 2, I feel that the "R" should be a equitable replacement. If not, I will adjust, no issue.

Thank you all for your patience...

Lowman... I will see you tonite!

Bro. Low -- GREAT Plays.... I see you were busy preparing for your turn ---- and a nice touch adding that Z and Salsa ---- and since the rules forbid taking multiples of a single type - I know that even after Big Jeff -- One of these will be coming home to me !!!!
Peter, thanks for the update on the hand-off herf.

Now if we can get Big Jeff to answer and set up the next transfer ---- our long journey will finally be over.

PS - Nice touch on both Jersey Brethren using the cherished "Hooah !!"
